Some members of the Democratic Party finally learned common sense as they backed a new resolution last Wednesday rebuking the open border policy of Joe Biden.
In the final count, 13 Democrats and 210 Republicans favored the move, while 191 Democrats were not in favor. Meanwhile, eight Democrats and seven Republicans abstained.
Another group followed a similar motion, where some liberals also defied their party and lambasted Biden for his inaction on the border crisis.
These Democrats supported the Republicans in their resolution:
- Rep. Don Davis (D-NC)
- Rep. Yadira Caraveo (D-CO)
- Rep. Angie Craig (D-MN)
- Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX)
- Rep. Sharice Davids (D-KS)
- Rep.Jared Golden (D-ME)
- Rep. Josh Harder (D-CA)
- Rep. Steven Horsford (D-NV)
- Rep. Susie Lee (D-NV)
- Rep. Mary Peltola (D-AK)
- Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA)
- Rep. Eric Sorensen (D-IL)
- Rep. Nikki Budzinski (D-IL)
The resolution started with a line holding Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas accountable for creating “the worst border crisis in the Nation’s history.”
“Whereas President Biden, beginning on day one of his administration, systematically dismantled effective border security measures and interior immigration enforcement.”
The resolution also blasted the Biden administration for opening the borders and paving the way for “at least 6,400,000 illegal aliens” to enter the US, breaking asylum cooperative agreements with Central American countries that the previous administration implemented, and stopping the construction of the southern border wall.
Furthermore, these lawmakers also accused the Biden administration of breaking the immigration law by “refusing to detain inadmissible aliens,” and blamed Biden for the “mass release” of illegal immigrants into the country, which led to the gruesome murder of Laken Riley, a nursing student who was killed by an illegal alien from Venezuela.
Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-Texas) introduced the bill last April.
“Americans are fed up with President [Joe] Biden’s broken immigration policies. The people of my district see it firsthand every day—the border crisis is in our backyard,” Gonzales said in an April 9 release announcing the resolution.
“My resolution takes this administration to task for its failure to protect our homeland and keep Americans safe. I urge my colleagues to support this legislation and say that enough is enough.”
As the number of asylum seekers continues to skyrocket, the call for effective and stringent border policy and immigration was among the issues that topped the people’s list.
According to an estimate, at least 8 million people have entered the country for asylum.

Because they want those millions of illegals votes to stay in power.
To all Democrats, you are clinging to a Party that no longer exists. They are Progressives or leaning Socialists. You need to acknowledge the basic beliefs of the original Democratic Party, rename it and force the Progressives Party to make it on their own. It is time the Progressives announce exactly what they believe to allow freedom of choice and stop hiding behind the Democratic Party to win.
