On Friday, Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows on Newsmax suggested that former President Donald Trump may be announcing another run for the presidency.
Meadows in this interview mentioned that the former President is meeting “some of our cabinet members,” and they are looking to “move forward in a real way.”
“We actually had a follow-up … meeting with some of our cabinet members. And as we were looking at that, we were looking at what does come next.” Medows said
“I’m not authorized to speak on behalf of the president, but I can tell you this, Steve; we wouldn’t be meeting tonight if we weren’t making plans to move forward in a real way, with President Trump at the head of that ticket,” he added.
President Trump had previously dropped a similar hint to Fox News’ Sean Hannity about a 2024 re-run but has not officially announced this yet. “The country needs it. We have to take care of this country. I don’t want to, is this fun? Fighting constantly? Fighting always? I mean, the country, what we have done is so important.” President Trump told Hannity
This Sunday, the former president had announced that his political committees have raised close to $82 Million just in the first half of 2021 from 3.2 million contributions with $102 Million already in hand.
These fundraising numbers indicate tremendous support for a 2024 re-run for President Trump. What do you think about his chances of announcing re-election in 2024? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
