Victory for the Second Amendment!

Ammunition is now available in several grocery stores in Alabama and Oklahoma after American Rounds set up vending machines in these states. This move allows shoppers to purchase gun ammunition while filling a cart with groceries for their families.

In an article about vending machines, Cleveland.com, the vending machine supplier, markets “ammo sales like you’ve never seen before.” They are aiming to revolutionize how ammunition for firearms is marketed.

Additionally, the company further quipped that they are presently in six locations and [use] facial recognition software and card scanning as forms of artificial intelligence to verify a buyer’s identity and age.

According to the article, the buyer inserts their photo ID, and at the same time, the machine conducts a scan to match it to the ID card.

On the company’s website, American Rounds offers ammo to be sold without having to deal with a store clerk, as it is “accessible 24/7, ensuring that you can buy ammunition on your own schedule, free from the constraints of store hours and long lines.”

A Fresh Value store in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is one of the locations.

Terry Stanley, COO of Fresh Value, said, “We’re always looking for ways to give our customers another reason to come visit our stores. Anything we can do to help them make their shopping trips easier, based on the feedback we’ve gotten from customers today, they are so excited about us having this ammo kiosk.”

The company that makes and distributes the ammo vending machines, American Rounds, states on its website that its purchase age and eligibility checks guarantee that all transactions adhere to the highest standards of responsible sales and comply with local and federal regulations.

“We are committed to providing a secure environment that customers can trust for their ammunition needs,” American Rounds added.

Grant Magers of the American Rounds said that there are no limitations on how much ammunition one can purchase unless the machine goes out of stock.

Magers added that their ID scanners are the same as the ones utilized by the Transportation Security Administration at airports and use multi-point facial recognition to ensure that the photo on the ID matches the person attempting to acquire ammo.

Meanwhile, the company remarked that they decided to take the side of caution to ensure alignment with the law imposed across states.

They are aiming to expand to other states, including Colorado and Texas.
