A new Associated Press report reveals that after the 2020 Presidential Elections, key publishers and networks in the liberal media industrial complex are losing viewers.

According to the Nielsen company, weekday prime-time viewership dropped 38% at CNN, and 25% at MSNBC.

Evening newscasts had a similar drop in numbers. 12% at ABC’s “World News Tonight” and the “CBS Evening News;” 14% at NBC’s “Nightly News,” according to Nielsen.

According to Comscore, The Washington Post had a drop of a whopping 44% in its unique site visitors and The New York Times was down by 34%

Tom Rosenstiel, a journalism professor at the University of Maryland says that cable news networks built their prime-time models almost entirely focused on politics during the Trump era. Which made it difficult for them to pivot to something different.

“You become, to some extent, a prisoner of the audience you built,” Rosenstiel said.

Both CNN and MSNBC had to take critical programming decisions ahead of the new year. CNN had to replace its “most popular” host, Chris Cuomo after an investigation found that he helped his disgraced governor brother, Andrew Cuomo during his sexual misconduct scandal. And MSNBC replaced Brian Williams and their most “popular” host, Rachael Maddow announced that she will be cutting back on her hours.
