Arizona Supreme Court: Fetuses Are ‘Unborn Human Being’

Evil abortion activists protest Arizona’s Supreme Court decision favoring pro-life advocates. Evil democrats have no qualms about ending an unborn child’s life to prove that they have a ‘choice’ over their bodies.

On August 14, the court ruled that an embryo or fetus can be described as an “unborn human being” in information fliers to inform voters in time for the state vote on abortion.

Aside from the general election season, Arizona voters are also voting on whether to allow abortion in the state or ban it. The amendment will allow abortions until the 24th week since conception.

According to the Arizona Secretary of State’s office, at least 577,971 signatures support the ballot measure to enact the “Arizona for Abortion Access Act” that establishes abortion as a constitutional right in the state.

The Arizona Supreme Court said, “The permanent injunction and writ of mandamus granted by the superior court are vacated and the Secretary of State is authorized to prepare the publicity pamphlet.”

Before voting, Arizona constituents will review the pamphlet discussing descriptions of each ballot initiative.

The legislative council, a committee of state lawmakers, has prepared the document.

Baby killers whined that calling an embryo an ‘unborn human being’ is biased and blasted the legislative council in July.

The truth? It was just a statement of fact. Pro-choice advocates refuse to admit the reality that they are killing an unborn child each time they commit an abortion.

Attorney Kory Langhofer, appearing for the council in the matter, argued that the language was impartial because it is factually true, and the same is used in Arizona’s current abortion law.

Arizona House Speaker Ben Toma lauded the Supreme Court ruling.

In a statement, he quipped, “The ballot analysis prepared by the legislative council is intended to help voters understand current law.”

“Arizona’s 15-week law protects unborn children, while the abortion initiative essentially allows unrestricted abortions up until birth. It’s really that simple. The Arizona Supreme Court’s ruling is correct.”

Arizona currently upholds a 15-week ban on abortion, with an exception if the life of the mother is in peril.

State Senate President Warren Petersen noted, “Common sense and good judgment prevailed.”

Abortion activists had an initial success when the Maricopa County Superior Court ruled in favor of them, but the Arizona SC asserted that the lower court was in error.

The Arizona SC argued that the term ‘unborn human being’ which is the specific phrase used in current law, “‘ substantially complies with the statute’s impartiality requirement.'”
