Arthur Engoron has been everything except impartial, at least, in Trump’s case.
Last week he ruled that the former president “misled” banks and insurers by overstating the price of his properties in financial statements for years.
For Trump, Engoron has already “ruled against [me] before the case even started.”
The leftist judge has long been criticized for having “unhinged” moments during trials. He was also once quoted, “I’m not here to hear what he has to say,” as Trump shares his testimony.
Engoron has been handling this issue for three years now. He was assigned to mediate the charges Letitia James, a fellow Democrat, filed against then-president Trump.
He had turned down Trump’s legal team’s demands for a mistrial in November.
“Such evidence, coupled with unprecedented departure from standard judicial procedure, has tainted these proceedings and a mistrial is warranted,” they declared.
The NY judge has been running this trial like a personal witch hunt. His main goal, evidently, is to silence Trump and stall his team to run for re-election in the 2024 presidential race.
He even slapped Trump and his lawyers with a gag order, as they continue to defend themselves in the media.

Engoron is a radical leftist who used to protest against the Vietnam War. He claims to be “impartial” but writes for the “The Wheatley School Alumni Association Newsletter” where he emphasized that he writes with “strong opinions.”
In the November 2020 issue, an article written by Philip Harpen featuring Bill Burr, who was an Attorney General during Trump’s term discussed the reasons for his departure. Included in the personal note was a thank you line for Engoron.
“Art, Thanks for dropping me a line,” says Halpern.
What is intriguing is that Michael Cohen, Trump’s ex-lawyer who testified against him, also interviewed Halpern in his podcast.
As the GOP leader’s trial progresses, pieces of evidence prove that all this is nothing but Engoron and James’ vendetta against Trump and his family.
In an op-ed, Andrew McCarthy, a former federal prosecutor, argued in National Review: “The case against the former president lacks victims, so Tish James and Arthur Engoron are inventing some.”
“It’s an amazing thing to watch: Donald Trump, front-runner in the Republican presidential nomination race, is on trial for supposedly inventing wealth that he didn’t have; and in order to nail him, elected Democrats Tish James and Arthur Engoron are inventing losses that no one ever suffered.”
Even bankers defend Trump. David Williams, an executive with Deutsche Bank said, “It’s atypical but entirely unusual’ for the bank to cut a client’s stated asset value by 50% and approve a loan anyway.”
Further proving Engoron’s bias, conservative pundit Laura Loomer unleashed a series of investigative articles in November.
Loomer posted photos of Engoron and his clerk Allison Greenfield, attending anti-Trump events.
She also exposed how Arthur’s wife, Dawn posted anti-Trump memes on X, formerly Twitter.
The journalist also exposed how the NY judge has made Trump’s trial a “family affair.” She shared images showing how Ian Engoron, Judge Engoron’s son got a reserved seat for the event.
Meanwhile, last Thursday, Trump received good news from the appeals court amid his ongoing civil fraud battle in New York.
Lisa Rubin, a legal analyst for MSNBC reported on X, formerly Twitter, that an appeals court in New York ruled to continue the stay of Judge Arthur Engoron’s order that sought to cancel Trump’s business certificates. This ruling by the appeal court allows Trump’s businesses to continue operating in New York while under investigation by New York Attorney General Letitia James.
Trump will take the witness stand on Monday.
