Biden Backtracks on Israel Amid Backlash, Denounces Gaza Attacks as “Over the Top”

[UPDATE] President Joe Biden is doubling down his efforts now in courting US-Arab leaders, whom his officials met in Dearborn, Michigan last Thursday.

Seems like Biden is now ready to throw Israel under the bus. During the press conference, he criticized Israel’s counter-offense as “over the top.”

He said, “I’m of the view, as you know, that the conduct of the response in Gaza – in the Gaza Strip – has been over the top.”

“I’m pushing very hard now to deal with this hostage ceasefire. There are a lot of innocent people who are starving, a lot of innocent people who are in trouble and dying, and it’s gotta stop.”

“Enlightened” Biden is now denouncing Israel for defending their people after a terrorist attack committed by Hamas in October last year. Unsurprisingly, he thought now was the perfect moment to drop his strongest ally, when it could cost him the presidency.

Biden went on to claim that he tried to convince Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, president of Egypt, whom he initially confused with Mexico, regarding the possibility of allowing entry of humanitarian aid in Gaza.

“I think that, as you know, initially the president of Mexico – Sissi – did not want to open up the gate to allow humanitarian aid to go in,” he said. “I talked to him. I convinced him to open the gate. I talked to Bibi to open the gate on the Israeli side. I’ve been pushing him really hard, really hard, to get humanitarian assistance into Gaza.”

The 81-year-old Biden seems to be very concerned now with Gaza.

He also claims to be in contact with Qatar, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia leaders to “get as much aid as we possibly can into Gaza.”

[Original Story] Israel Turns Down ‘Delusional’ Hamas Terrorist Ceasefire Plea

sraeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused to fold amid pressure to accept Hamas terrorist ceasefire offer in Gaza.

Netanyahu pushed back and pledged to achieve “total victory” against the terrorist group, which he foresees in the nearest months.

In a press conference, the Israeli Prime Minister announced that it’s only a “matter of months” before the country attains its military targets — which is to wipe out all of Hamas’s fighting forces in Gaza and destroy their entire underground tunnel network.

Netanyahu argued, “If Hamas will survive in Gaza, it’s only a question of time until the next massacre.”

He added that the terrorists have been raising “bizarre” demands and that their negotiation is “not going anywhere.”

Talks between Israel and Hamas are still ongoing with Qatar and Egypt governments acting as mediators.

Hamas suggested a ceasefire plan which consists of three phases, each lasting 45 days.

The first phase would be the release of certain groups of hostages the Hamas captured during the October 7, 2023 siege in Southern Israel. In exchange, Israel would free female and underage Palestinian prisoners. Hamas also demand Israeli soldiers to pull out from populated areas.

The second phase will not push forward until “indirect discussions” are concluded, which includes stopping attacks from Israel and “restoring complete calm.”

During the second phase, adult male hostages on Hamas’s side would be freed, and the bodies and remains of hostages who died while under the terrorist’s custody would be turned over throughout the third phase.

On Tuesday, an intelligence assessment by the Israel Defense Forces confirmed that at least 32 hostages who are under Hamas’ custody have died.

Hamas abducted more than 240 people during its terrorist attack across northwestern Negev, where an estimated 1,200 people were killed and thousands more wounded.

Hamas also expects that both parties will implement a permanent ceasefire by the third phase.

However, Netanyahu opposed this proposal and called it “delusional.”

The prime minister also added that Israel’s military campaign in Gaza will continue until they have achieved “absolute victory.”

“There is no alternative to the military collapse [of Hamas],” he said

“Unless Hamas is destroyed, “the evil axis of Iran and its affiliates will continue unhindered its campaign of killing and aggression,” Netanyahu added.

Netanyahu discussed with U.S. Secretary Antony Blinken on Wednesday and quipped that Hamas’ proposal has sections that are “clear non-starters.”

There has been pressure within the Israeli government and international organizations to forge a deal with Hamas, even at a heavy price.
