Desperate times call for desperate measures, and Biden’s time is ticking.
In a bid to convince Arab and Muslim voters to take him back, top officials of the White House are scheduled to welcome an Arab-American activist who gives props to Hamas and calls the president “Genocide Joe” and stated “No vote for you Mr. Warmonger.”
According to reports, seven Biden top staff will meet with Osama Siblani, publisher of Arab American News in Dearborn, Michigan.
Among the administration’s officials Siblani will meet were Deputy National Security Adviser Jon Finer, and U.S. Agency for International Development chief Samantha Power.
Critics slammed this move as Biden’s team is set to meet with one of the Arab-American leaders, who has been known for praising terrorist groups. Siblani, during an event in 2022, even urged fellow Arabs to fight Israel with “stones” and “guns” and cheered fedayeen (Islamic Militants).
He also described Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists as “freedom fighters” and boosted Houthi militants for declaring war against Israel.
The Arab-American activist also boasted, during a conference call with government officials, that he refuses “to apologize or Hamas firing rockets at Israel.”
Michigan has 300,000 Arab and Muslim residents, and Sibani has been calling to boycott the Biden ticket. This move is bad news for the 81-year-old president.
As if one rejection is not enough, Biden’s team had already met with Siblani last week, as they pleaded with his group to support Biden. However, as the meeting concluded, Siblani slammed Biden and called him “a war criminal.”
“Biden is telling Israel, ‘Here is the money; here’s ammunition; here’s the political power; here’s whatever you need, go and kill.’ That is a war criminal,” Siblani told Al Jazeera.
“If this man wants our vote, he has to do more than Jesus Christ—bring a lot more dead back to life. Thousands of people’s blood is on his hands.”
Before this, Biden’s staffers have been embroiled in a controversy on Tuesday as they have barred two Muslim women from entering their event in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Nevadans for Palestinian Liberation slammed the incident and said, “Both of these Muslim constituents had RSVPd for the event, were given wristbands upon checking in, and were standing in line when the Harris campaign officials denied them entry.”
The group continued, “As you can clearly see in the video, these women were ‘disinvited’ while others were being let in who were in line behind them. When pressed about why they were not allowed in, the Harris officials could not give a legitimate reason.”
