The liberal media went on an epic meltdown after the SCOTUS unanimously voted to overturn Colorado’s attempt to ban Trump from the state primaries on Monday.
Keith Olbermann ranted on X and called for the dissolution of the Supreme Court.
“The Supreme Court has betrayed democracy. Its members including Jackson, Kagan, and Sotomayor have proved themselves inept at reading comprehension. And collectively the “court” has shown itself to be corrupt and illegitimate.
It must be dissolved.”
Left-leaning media outlets let out unhinged responses, denying that Trump is much more likely to win the 2024 presidential race.
MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace lost her sanity on Monday evening, gritting her teeth with anger, said: “[O]n the very same day that the disgraced ex-president was supposed to go on trial in a federal courthouse for his efforts to end democracy as we know it — that little January 6 insurrection — the highest Court in the land today kept him on the ballot in a ruling that dodges the facts of January 6 and Trump’s role in it.”
“But instead, the Supreme Court handed Trump a second gift in as many weeks on a constitutional technicality.”
“This is another example among many that are playing out right now of the Supreme Court playing a huge role in American elections, and it’s not necessarily the case that that’s a good thing for the Supreme Court,” lamented Ken Dilanian of NBC. “The approval levels of the court poll at historic lows … It’s going to be seen by many people as the court essentially interfering in some sense in the election, & so this is all sort of playing out here in terms of how we assess the Supreme Court & its legacy.”
CNN’s Dana Bash, who is on the verge of tears, remarked: “Unfortunately for America, the Court isn’t necessarily wrong that this is the way the Framers wanted it to be. They wanted Congress, the people who are closest to their constituents, to be able to make the rules and the laws.”
“Not since Bush v. Gore have we seen a Court that’s had this many opportunities to interfere in the election,” whined MSNBC’s Donna Edwards, who was roaring with rage.
Meanwhile, some commentators opted to misinterpret the simple court ruling by the SCOTUS.
Megyn Kelly blasted Seung Min Kim, an Associated Press White House Reporter, for framing that the SCOTUS rejected “states attempts to hold him accountable.”
Meanwhile, NBC News also tweeted their interpretation, further confusing the merits of the procedure.
“BREAKING: Supreme Court rules in a unanimous decision that former President Trump cannot be kicked off the Colorado primary ballot over his actions leading up to the Capitol riot.”
Way to go for the liberal media to show that they only support democracy when it benefits them.
