In the hopes of defeating Trump, LinkedIn co-founder and Epstein’s associate Reid Hoffman funded Nikki Haley’s presidential campaign bid.
Now, he is regretting it.
A source close to Hoffman told CNBC that the billionaire is not planning to donate any more money to Haley after her devastating loss in the New Hampshire Republican primary.
Hoffman was one of Haley’s first big-time donors. While he claims to be Joe Biden’s supporter, he responded to JPMorgan Chase’s CEO Jamie Dimon when he urged business leaders to back the former South Carolina governor.
Hoffman’s adviser added, “To raise more money for Governor Haley, I’d have to see a path for her to win the primary.”
“That was plausible if she won New Hampshire, but I don’t see it now.”
Nimarata’s top rival and leading Republican nominee Donald Trump also warned billionaires who were funding the former UN ambassador that they would be banned from the “MAGA camp” if they continued to make their contribution.
On Wednesday, Trump wrote on Truth Social, “Anybody that makes a ‘Contribution’ to Birdbrain, from this moment forth, will be permanently barred from the MAGA camp,” Trump wrote in a post on his social media site Truth Social, using a nickname for Haley. “We don’t want them, and will not accept them, because we Put America First, and ALWAYS WILL!”
After her succeeding defeat in Iowa and New Hampshire, Haley’s attempt to clinch the nomination is in a very fragile situation, and so is her financial backing.
Ken Langone, co-founder of Home Depot, said he didn’t want to “throw money down a rat hole,” so he decided to wait and see how Haley would perform in New Hampshire.
According to the Financial Times, financiers Stanley Druckenmiller, Cliff Asness, Langone, and Henry Kravis are supposed to co-host a Haley fundraiser in New York next week.
Even Republican fundraisers express difficulty in convincing clients to fund her campaign run. According to an article by CNBC, three clients who previously helped Haley are now opting out of further financial efforts for the former UN ambassador.

Some even said that although they plan to speak publicly in favor of Haley, they doubt if they can raise enough funds for her campaign because of her 0-2 record so far.
Trump scored 54 percent of the vote in New Hampshire, leading against Haley by more than 10 points. With 173,000 votes as of Wednesday morning, the GOP leader secured the highest number of votes ever recorded in the Granite State, another milestone for the GOP leader to add to his record.
