Bombshell: Office of Congressional Ethics States That Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Most Likely Violated The Federal Law

According to the Board of the Office of Congressional Ethics, they would like to further probe into the allegations against the Democratic Rep. from New York, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, relating to the gifts she might have accepted that were associated with the congresswoman’s appearance at the 2021 Met Gala.

If the allegations are found out to be true, AOC would be in direct violation of the federal law, standards of conduct and the House rules.

The Board deduced:

“Based on the foregoing information, the Board finds that there is substantial reason to believe that Rep. Ocasio-Cortez accepted impermissible gifts associated with her attendance at the Met Gala. Accordingly, the Board recommends that the Committee further review the above allegation that Rep. Ocasio Cortez accepted impermissible gifts associated with her attendance at the Met Gala..”

The recommendation regarding the investigation into AOC came forward after 5 voted in favor and 0 voted against it.

The member designated by the Board will be responsible for presenting the report in front of the Committee

The report, issued on Thursday, stated:

SUBJECT: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

NATURE OF THE ALLEGED VIOLATION: Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may have accepted impermissible gifts associated with her attendance at the Met Gala in 2021. If Rep. Ocasio Cortez accepted impermissible gifts, then she may have violated House rules, standards of conduct, and federal law.

RECOMMENDATION: The Board recommends that the Committee further review the above allegation concerning Rep. Ocasio-Cortez because there is substantial reason to believe that she accepted impermissible gifts associated with her attendance at the Met Gala in 2021.
