Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz on Thursday called out Dr. Fauci for flip-flopping again and playing politics after reports of children getting hospitalized because of COVID-19.
In a recent interview with MSNBC, Fauci claimed that many of the children hospitalized are tested for COVID-19 but not, admitted because of COVID-19. Having COVID being hospitalized for a separate issue and being hospitalized as a result of COVID are not the same thing.
If you think that it doesn’t make any sense, you are not the only one.
“If a child goes into the hospital, they automatically get tested for COVID and they get counted as a COVID-hospitalized individual, when, in fact, they may go in for a broken leg or appendicitis or something like that. So it’s over counting the number of children who are, quote, hospitalized with COVID as opposed to because of COVID,” Fauci said.
This came after reports of children being hospitalized in the US with COVID-19 had an up-spike in recent days. Fauci clarified that children are tested for COVID when they arrive at hospitals.
Senator Cruz shared this video on his Twitter and responded with: “Now Fauci says this? Is this because pandemic politics have changed for the Biden admin?”
Recently, President Joe Biden said that there is “no federal solution” to control the pandemic. This comes after Biden and his handlers in the mainstream media spent months on end blaming President Trump for the very same pandemic. Biden even went as far as saying that he has an effective strategy to “mobilize trunalimunumaprzure”
“This gets solved at a state level….and it ultimately gets down to where the rubber meets the road and that’s where the patient is in need of help, or preventing the need of help,” Biden said recently.
