Another Kamala Harris senior staff has now joined the group of aides to resign from the Vice President’s Office amid allegations of tensions in the office.

The deputy director of public engagement and intergovernmental affairs for Kamala Harris, Vincent Evans has announced that he is stepping down from his job and will be potentially joining another role on Capitol Hill. According to a CNBC report.

Evans will be joining the Congressional Black Caucus, chaired by Ohio Democrat Congresswoman, Rep. Joyce Beatty.

Last month, a report came out that described “tensions” in the workplace and the Vice President as a “bully” who dishes out “soul-destroying criticism.”

“I am deeply honored to be named the executive director of the Congressional Black Caucus,” Evans said in a statement to CNBC.

“I started my career in Washington working for a member of the CBC, so I know firsthand the tremendous leadership and impact this caucus has in Congress and across the country.” He added.

Evan was in the Harris team all the way from the campaign time in 2020 and during the Presidential transition.

Another senior staffer for Harris, Symone Sanders, who was the chief spokesperson for the Vice President and also her longtime aide also announced resignation last month. Along with a bunch of other staffers including, Ashley Etienne, the Director of Communications, and Peter Velz, The Director of Press Operations. To name a few.

When questioned about this unusual series of departures from the Vice President’s office, the White House Press Secretary, Jen Psaki said that this was “natural” and a “very positive thing”

“Working in the first year of a White House is exciting and rewarding but it’s also grueling and exhausting,” she said in a press briefing.

“If you look at past precedent, it’s natural for staffers who have thrown their heart and soul into a job to be ready to move on to a new challenge after a few years and that is applicable to many of these individuals.” She said.
