WASHINGTON DC — The U.S. Senate today voted to block Joe Biden’s tyrannical vaccine mandate that required private companies to make sure their employees are “fully vaccinated”
All 50 Republicans voted to block this mandate along with two Democrats, West Virginia senator Joe Manchin and Montana Senator Jon Tester.
“Today, this body will stand up against this overreach,” Minnesota Republican Senator Mike Braun said.
Joe Biden issued this mandate earlier this year for federal and private workers. Senate Minority Leader and Kentucky Republican Senator Mitch McConnell said ahead of the votes, “Trust me, there is no bigger proponent of vaccination. But the United States of America is a free country. The federal government, elites in Washington, cannot micromanage citizens’ personal choices without a legitimate basis in the law and the Constitution. And that goes double for presidents going far beyond the bounds of their office and their authority.”
Democrat Senator Joe Manchin said that he supports the mandates for federal workers but not for private businesses. Private Businesses not be penalized over the vaccine but should instead be provided an incentive to get the shot. He added.
Democrat Senator Jon Tester also made a similar statement- “Over the past few months, I’ve repeatedly heard concerns from Montana’s small business and community leaders about the negative effect the private business vaccine mandate will have on their bottom lines and our state’s economy. That’s why I intend to join a bipartisan majority of my colleagues in defending Montana jobs and small businesses against these burdensome regulations.”
