Another CNN producer, who was involved with allegations of child sex trafficking, was recently named in a Connecticut civil lawsuit that alleges the former CNN employee engaged in “horrific sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, and sexual assault” involving an underage minor.
“For several years prior to 2020, the defendant solicited young girls, including the minor plaintiff, for the purpose of knowingly persuading, inducing, enticing and coercing them to engage in sexual activity, sexual exploitation, and/or sexual trafficking,” the lawsuit against the former producer states.
This was filed last week, in Bridgeport, Connecticut on behalf of a 9-year-old girl and her custodial “next best friend” this suit seeks $15 million on damages and fees.
CNN fired the producer, John Griffin last month after these allegations came out. Griffin was charged by a grand jury in Vermont in December with three counts of using a facility of interstate commerce to attempt to entice minors to engage in unlawful sexual activity.
Griffin allegedly used online platforms like Kik and Google Hangouts to reach out to parents of underage daughters, with disturbing messages like “that a ‘woman is a woman regardless of her age,’ and that women should be sexually subservient and inferior to men,”
A 2020 criminal complaint filed in Nevada, revealed that a 48-year old mother accepted over $3000 from this disgraced producer to fly to Boston and stay at his multimillion-dollar Vermont chalet for about a week where the former CNN employee sexually assaulted her 9-year old daughter.
The disgraced producer even recorded a drone video of himself standing naked next to this. 9-year old girl. “When confronted with this video during an interview by FBI agents, Griffin’s first response was merely to suggest he was not looking at the naked girl, despite that she was standing so close to him to be touching,” the prosecutor’s pretrial detention memo reads.
