Maybe I am a glutton for punishment, but I want Former Vice President Joe Biden to run for reelection in 2024. For many reasons, I want to see him run again, and I find it hilarious that the Democrats don’t want that to happen, but in the back of their minds, they know they are stuck with him.
Joe Biden is a problem for the democrats, and it is bringing out some funny characters into the spotlight. Gavin Newsom is one of those intellectually challenged individuals.
The Governor of the failed state of California decided to put out an Independence Ad in the state of Florida stating:
“We’re about to celebrate Independence Day — but Freedom is under attack by Republican leaders in states like Florida. Banning books. Restricting speech. Making it harder to vote. Criminalizing women and doctors. It’s time to stand up. Don’t let them take your freedom.”
DeSantis’ team quickly responded:
“The people of Florida pay no mind to the pathetic smear campaigns from the Democrats and their allies in the corporate media,” DeSantis campaign spokesman Dave Abrams said. “We’re too busy enjoying the freedom Gov. Ron DeSantis has created in the Sunshine State.”
En-volve.com said:
“The fact is, while Newsom tried to lure Floridians to California, DeSantis is far more popular with his constituents than Newsom is with his.
In September of last year, Newsom barely survived a recall effort in the dark Blue State.
In fact, the most recent approval polling out of the Golden State, February of this year, found Newsom’s approval rating had dipped 16-points in about a year and half, down to just 48% approval.”
I think this is Gavin Newsom’s way of telling the DNC he wants to run for President. It’s not crazy to say since we recently saw Hilary Clinton wishing to put her name in the 2024 race.
Technically, while she did say “No” in her interview with The Financial Times, it was clear that Democrats are looking for alternatives.
Clinton said:
“First of all, I expect Biden to run. He certainly intends to run. It would be very disruptive to challenge that.”
Hilary Clinton is nowhere near humble; she still believes she is the 2016 election was stolen. Hilary Clinton would be the first one in line if Biden steps down.
The Insider reported:
“If Biden doesn’t run, Vice President Kamala Harris would be a natural successor, but after her 2020 presidential campaign fizzled before the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary, some Democrats might look elsewhere for a candidate.”
If Biden chooses not to run, the possible contenders could be as follows:
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg
Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts
Senator Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota
Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey
Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont
Governor Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan
Governor Roy Cooper of North Carolina
Governor J.B. Pritzker of Illinois
Governor Gavin Newsom of California
And quite possibly AOC, who will be around 35 years old during the election of 2024.
Hilary Clinton said in her interview with The Financial Times that she believes that Trump will run again. I think most Democrats are scared of that possibility. They are probably even more terrified of Ron DeSantis because he is more coherent and is considered to be a Trump 2.0.
Either way, we can’t remain vigilant. Despite our feelings about the 2020 election, we must go out and vote and make our voices heard.
