BREAKING: Details of charges against Trump Org. verify they found NOTHING but MINIMAL tax irregularities

The chief financial officer of the Trump Organization, Allen Weisselberg, surrendered to authorities early Friday morning.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office is expected to file charges today against him and the Trump Organization after indictments by a grand jury. The charges, handed up by a New York grand jury, stem from a scheme to pay compensation to Weisselberg and possibly others “off the books” by the Trump Organization. They are expected to be unsealed in court Thursday afternoon in Manhattan, one Trump representative told NBC News. Weisselberg’s attorney, Mary Mulligan, confirmed he had turned himself in.

In a statement to The Hill, Mulligan said that her client “intends to plead not guilty and he will fight these charges in court.” A spokesperson for the Trump Organization blasted Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr. (D) in a statement, arguing he “is bringing a criminal prosecution involving employee benefits that neither the IRS nor any other District Attorney would ever think of bringing. This is not justice; this is politics.”

“Allen Weisselberg is a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who has worked at the Trump Organization for 48 years. He is now being used by the Manhattan District Attorney as a pawn in a scorched earth attempt to harm the former President,” the spokesperson asserted.
