It looks like the month-long saga between Elon Musk and Twitter has ended. Musk’s team claims it is due to a breach of contract. This breach is in regards to the lack of information that Twitter has refused to share regarding the fake accounts.
Back in June, The Blaze reported:
“On May 13, he said that his deal to buy Twitter could not move forward until he verified Twitter’s claim that spam or fake accounts make up fewer than 5% of Twitter’s users. Musk has estimated the number is closer to 20%—a claim backed by some independent researchers—but he has repeatedly insisted he needs access to Twitter’s data to know for sure.”
According to Elon Musk’s filing, he will be terminating his $44 billion deal. As Truth Tent reported:
“His April agreement to buy the company included a commitment to go through with the acquisition unless there’s a major change to the business, and legal experts say nothing has happened to meet that threshold. Musk has previously threatened to scuttle the deal if Twitter doesn’t give him more data to run his own analysis on how many spam bots it has, while Twitter has said it can’t give up personal info on its users like their names, emails and IP addresses, which it uses to come up with its own bot numbers.”
According to Musk’s team of financial advisors, they have been asking for this critical information from Twitter since early May. Musk’s top priority was the information on how many fake or spam accounts there were.
Due to all the scorn and hatred Musk has received from the left and other critics, you would think that his withdrawal would give them some peace of mind. Now they are angry that Elon Musk is pulling out.

“The Twitter chair, Bret Taylor, said on Friday that the social media firm would sue in a Delaware court to enforce the deal. The deal included a “specific performance” clause, a provision that may force Musk to buy the company as long as he has financing in place. Musk in May said he had secured financing to complete the deal.
Musk may also face a fine of $1bn to walk away, a penalty he is seeking to evade by accusing Twitter of a “breach of multiple provisions” of the agreement, according to a letter filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission announcing the dissolution of the offer.”
Trying to understand how the left thinks is a difficult task. At first, they didn’t want Musk to buy Twitter. Now they want to sue him for walking away from the deal. They didn’t want the world to know how many spam bots or fake accounts they have, which Musk highly requested. It is the sole reason why he is leaving the deal because they have been refusing to share that information. Now the left says that’s just an excuse.
No, it is not an excuse. Cough up the information on Twitter then you get the money. This was the deal they agreed to, and Musk is holding you accountable.
