Another National Football League star endorses President Trump in an interview with OutKick’s commentator Nick Adams published on Thursday.
Antonio Brown, known for his outspokenness, shared his thoughts on Trump and his presidency.
Brown played in the NFL for more than a decade. He was a wide receiver and has made records in assisting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their Super Bowl victory in 2021 and successfully entering the Pro Bowl on at least seven instances.
The 35-year-old’s bluntness often gets him into headlines, including controversial remarks on social media about fellow athletes Caitlin Clark and Tom Brady.
The former wide receiver earlier voiced his support for the presumptive Republican presidential nominee last March and further discussed it in his interview with Adams.
“I’ll endorse Trump,” said AB.
‘I never met him. I have admiration for his business moves, and I study his dad, Fred Trump.
‘But I think Donald Trump is a good businessman, he comes from a good family, and he’s been a good president.
‘You know he likes black people running campaigns, preferably football players. So Donald Trump, you heard it right here from the mouth of AB man: inauguration, send me my bag or whatever,” the NFL legend said.
He also thanked Trump for the “great things” he did for fellow rappers–Lil Wayne and Kodak, whom the former president pardoned during his first term in the presidency.
The NFL player turned rapper also hoped Trump would do the same for Young Thug.
He said, “I’m hoping he can do some of those things Young Thug.”
“So Trump, man, if you’re watching this, we need to free Young Thug. If you could help out.”
Brown also blasted Biden in an interview with sports personality Jason Whitlock in early May.
When asked about his preference between Biden and Trump, the NFL star swiftly replied, “Nah, I like Donald Trump.”
“I seen Joe Biden online. He was [expletive] on himself and falling all over. I’m like, yo, what’s going on with him?”
“I want the world to be a better place and I feel like we can probably do better with Trump helping more businesses and coming back and taking over in 2024.”
Aside from Brown, Trump also clinched endorsement from New York Giants icons Lawrence Taylor and Ottis Anderson during his campaign rally at Wildwood, New Jersey.
The former president also shared during the National Rifle Association convention that he played golf with former NFL quarterback Tony Romo.
Even NFL icon Tom Brady once spoke candidly about Trump.
“Donald is a good friend of mine,” Brady said in a 2015 interview.
“I have known him for a long time. I support all my friends. That is what I have to say. He’s a good friend of mine. He’s always been so supportive of me.”
