In a Fox News exclusive, former First Lady Melania Trump discussed her husband’s re-election campaign.

She told Fox News Digital that she supports her husband and looks forward to working with the former president during a second presidential term.

She said a second opportunity to serve as first lady in 2024 would be a “privilege” and she would continue her work that focused on ensuring that children have the “support and resources” necessary to reach their “full potential.”

“My husband achieved tremendous success in his first administration, and he can lead us toward greatness and prosperity once again,” Melania told Fox News Digital.

“He has my support, and we look forward to restoring hope for the future and leading America with love and strength,” she said.

Mrs. Trump hosted a luncheon last week at Mar-a-Lago to mark the fifth anniversary of the creation of “Be Best.” The initiative was the former first lady’s pet project. It focused on the well-being of children, online safety, and the opioid epidemic.

Mrs. Trump extended her initiative since leaving the White House. She founded “Fostering the Future” which grants computer science scholarships to children aging out of the foster care system.

Such scholarships for programs that help give former foster care kids a good academic foundation, allow them to become eligible for technology-based employment and a better future.

“Since leaving Washington D.C., my commitment to the foster community has grown stronger,” Mrs. Trump told Fox News Digital,

“At the present time, there are more than 400,000 children in the foster care system, and there is less than a 3% chance of former foster children completing their college education. In fact, many end up on the street, homeless,” she said.

“My objective is to reduce the gap and increase access to higher education for those who leave the foster care system.”

“I have faith that an education-based foundation will provide these individuals with the skills needed to secure employment and achieve financial stability,” she told Fox News Digital.

“Fox & Friends” host Pete Hegseth asked the former first lady, “Your first scholarship recipient is about to get a scholarship, what does that feel like for you to be able to provide that kind of scholarship?”

Melania said, “It’s very exciting…working with leaders of the foster care community and the schools choosing the deserving students.”

Hegseth invited the recipient of the scholarship to join the interview while Melania was present. The young man spoke about the generosity of the scholarship program and called it a dream come true.

“My focus would continue to be creating a safe and nurturing space for children to learn, grow, and thrive,” Melania said in thinking about a second term as first lady.

“If additional problems arise, I will take the time to study them and understand their root causes.”

“My goal would be to ensure that every child has the support and resources they need to reach their full potential.”

May is National Foster Care Month but the former first lady’s work will continue beyond this month.

Her “mission is to bring awareness and attention to the foster care system and help guarantee that no child is overlooked, defined by their circumstance or confined to their present reality.”
