Joe Biden’s administration continues to ignore the crisis that is occurring on our southern border.
Governors are having to take matters into their own hands. Governor Greg Abbott has been nursing illegal immigrants to New York City, Chicago, and Washington D.C. Governor Ducey has been completing parts of the border wall in Arizona.
Governor Ron DeSantis is following suit and will be rerouting illegal immigrants to Biden’s home state of Delaware.
Gov. Ron DeSantis said, “It applies to people illegally crossing the southern border who want to come to Florida or who come to Florida because a lot of them say they want to.”
“And if they’re here illegally, then that’s a much different thing than being a refugee. So it does not apply to refugees.”
DeSantis said that refugees escaping from communist countries are not included.
He rejects the comparison between people who fled communist Cuba to someone running drugs across the southern border.
Yes, when you’re putting out tweets saying about Castro’s death, he’s just a political leader that people in Cuba are mourning, that’s a disgrace,” DeSantis said.
“That’s an insult to the people in this community who have had to flee that tyranny. It’s an insult to the people that have seen that island destroyed,” he continued.
“And here we are decades and decades later, and it is a third-world country has so much potential. And you look at the contrast between South Florida and Cuba.”
“I don’t see people getting on rafts to go from Key West to Cuba. I’ve never seen that,” he added. “I know they want to do that the opposite because they understand how important freedom is,” DeSantis said.
DeSantis said that “almost 2.5 million people” have crossed the southern border illegally since Biden became president.
“What does that mean in terms of the quality of life for Americans? Well, we know we’ve seen record human trafficking, sex trafficking, drug trafficking such that now the number one cause of death for people 18 to 45 in the United States of America is fentanyl overdose,” he said.
“I’m also going to sign a bill here in the next couple of weeks that any of if there’s contractors that the federal government hires to dump illegal aliens in Florida, then those contractors forfeit the ability to do business with the state or with local communities. And we’re just not gonna do it,” he said, adding his administration will bus illegal immigrants to Delaware.
He said he has “money from the Legislature which will be available starting in June so that if Biden is busing illegal aliens into our state, we’re taking those buses and rerouting them to Delaware and other jurisdictions,” he said. “So stay tuned on that.”
The crisis at the border continues to get worse with each passing month of the Biden Administration. And yet, Biden continues to send billions and billions in aid to Ukraine, as we continue to have a crisis on our own soil.
