Breaking: Governor Greg Abbott signs a law banning drag shows in public

Governor Greg Abbott from the great state of Texas dropped some big news on his Twitter feed last night that made very many Republicans happy. He signed into law legislation that bans drag performances in public this includes show etc, meaning any rallies or performances in the street will result in the police getting involved.

We will likely see more Republican governors take action like this. For example when it came to the Chinese farmland issue South Dakota governor Kristi Noem banned those purchases and then many Republican governors followed suit.

Governor Abbott would release the following onto his Twitter page:

Business or hosts that have minors present can be fined $10,000 and performers can be fined and or serve jail time.

This bill will officially take affect on September 1st, Abbott passed the bill with a large Republican majority in the house.
