Republicans are gearing up to impeach President Joe Biden as more and more information comes out about him and his family.
The Hill reported on Tuesday: “A number of rank-and-file conservatives have already introduced impeachment articles in the current Congress against the president.”
“They accuse Biden of committing ‘high crimes’ in his approach to a range of issues touching on border enforcement, the coronavirus pandemic, and the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan.”
There are at least eight resolutions to impeach Biden that has been offered since he took office. Three are related to his handling of the migrant surge at the southern border, another three are targeting his mismanagement of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan last year, another one is denouncing the eviction moratorium to help renters during the pandemic and the last one is connected to the overseas business dealings of his son, Hunter Biden.

With Democrats holding a narrow control of the lower chamber, those resolutions never had a chance of seeing the light of day. Then again with Republicans widely expected to win the House majority in the midterms, many of those same conservatives want to tap their new potential powers to oust a president they believe unfit. Some would like to make it the first order of business.
“I have consistently said President Biden should be impeached for intentionally opening our border and making Americans less safe,” Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.), said.
“Congress has a duty to hold the President accountable for this and any other failures of his Constitutional responsibilities, so a new Republican majority must be prepared to aggressively conduct oversight on day one.”
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is leading the push to impeach Joe Biden.
Ted Cruz has also predicted that republicans will impeach Joe Biden if they take back the House in November.
“Yeah, I do think there’s a chance of that, whether it’s justified or not,” he said on the latest episode of his podcast “Verdict with Ted Cruz.”
“Democrats weaponized impeachment,” he said, referring to House Democrats twice voting to impeach former President Donald Trump.
“They used it for partisan purposes to go after Trump because they disagreed with him. And one of the real disadvantages of doing that … is the more you weaponize it and turn it into a partisan cudgel, you know, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.”
Cruz said that impeachment shouldn’t be used as a political tool, but that is what it has become.
Donald Trump is the only president to have been impeached twice, but each time, the Senate lacked the votes needed to convict him in both cases.
