BREAKING: “Hundreds Of Citizens Still In Afghanistan”; Pentagon Admits Americans Left Behind After Biden Says He Will Evacuate Everybody

It was just on Monday that the Pentagon announced an official (albeit, abrupt) end to the decades-long conflict in Afghanistan. According to Naveed Jamali, Editor-in-Chief of Newsweek, “MOOSE94 a C17, and the last US military aircraft out of Afghanistan, departed 11:59 local time.” Mr. Jamali began by tweeting #breaking US official to me: “final plane is wheels up. War is over.”

However, despite tenuous euphoria that may erupt to some following this news, it was in a press conference that a top commander at the Pentagon admitted that there were still hundreds of American stuck over in Afghanistan, apparently forgotten by this administration.

According to The Federalist, “Commander of U.S. Central Command Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie announced Monday that the last American planes had left Afghanistan, ending 20 years of American military occupation, and leaving the country completely in the hands of the Taliban,.” The paper added that according, “…to the commander, there are still hundreds of Americans in Afghanistan.”

The Federalist added that, “After a hasty, disorganized evacuation effort — and an ISIS-fueled attack at the Kabul airport that claimed 13 American service members’ lives — the Biden administration announced the end of its troop withdrawal in the country. Although 122,000 people, including Americans and Afghans, have been evacuated from Afghanistan since July, the Biden administration left hundreds of Americans in the Taliban-controlled war zone.” The outlet went on to say that “many, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, are demanding answers from Biden, railing against the administration for knowingly leaving American citizens on the ground.”

In a bloodied farce that has seen the most American deaths in Afghanistan in over 20 years, this blood lies on the hands of Joe Biden. At present, Senate Minority leader, Kevin McCarthy has been in the throws of an internal investigation of Biden regarding his calamitous handling of the border crisis. Now McCarthy is facing even more external pressure to after Biden for Afghanistan. Politico reports that, “The House minority leader has repeatedly pushed back on rank-and-file Republicans who want to make a high-stakes call for impeaching Biden over his handling of Afghanistan — a vow that would come due should the GOP take back the chamber next November. But multiple House Republican sources said that even before Tuesday’s fraught end to the U.S. military mission, their offices were being bombarded with calls from base voters for a future Biden impeachment or another more forceful response against the administration.”
