President Donald Trump just won’t settle for less, unlike his rival Joe Biden, who automatically picked fellow unhinged Kamala Harris as his running mate.
Reports say President Trump has formally started his selection process for potential vice presidential candidates.
Sources knowledgeable about the vetting process tipped NBC News, as the media outlet reported that Trump’s prospective running mates recently received vetting materials from the MAGA leader.
Amy Kramer, the former head of the Tea Party Express, wrote on X that among Trump’s selections were:
- Gov. Doug Burgum
- Ben Carson
- Rep. Bryron Donalds
- Marco Rubio
- Tim Scott
- Rep. Elise Stefanik
- Sen. JD Vance
But NBC’s source cited that the search primarily focuses on four leading candidates. North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum and Senators Marco Rubio, Tim Scott, and JD Vance.
Another source shared that the VP search is a three-way contest among Burgum, Rubio, and Vance.

However, Trump’s campaign senior adviser, Brian Hughes, quickly countered this news. He said, “Anyone claiming to know who or when President Trump will choose his VP is lying unless the person is named Donald J. Trump.”
The former president has been good at keeping his VP choice a secret, as he kept people speculating.
During an interview at his Bronx rally last month, he did not give a definitive answer to his VP running mate. He said that he’s been choosing among Ben Carson, Sen. Marco Rubio, Sen. JD Vance, and Rep. Elise Stefanik.
Trump hinted that he would decide on the Republican National Convention in July in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Even prospective candidates were tight-lipped if Trump had reached out to them regarding the vetting process.
Donalds was interviewed by Fox News in Philadelphia regarding the selection. The Florida lawmaker replied, “I’m not going to comment on that. I’m going to leave that one alone.”
Meanwhile, Vance was asked during an appearance with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer if he would be running on a ticket with a “convicted felon,” a line toed by the Democrats and their corrupt gang of media elites to smear Donald Trump.
But Senator Vance won’t let it pass, as he snapped at Blitzer.
“Well, Wolf, the entire purpose of this trial was to allow the media and the Democrats to say exactly that.”
“This was never about justice. This was about plastering ‘convicted felon’ all over the airwaves, when in reality the only thing Donald Trump is guilty of is being in the courtroom of a political sham trial.”
The Raging Patriot also quoted Vance’s interview on Rumble, where he rendered CNN’s host speechless. Vance remarked, “If we allow the standard that you can throw your political opponents in jail because they’re doing better than you in an election, it will be the end of this country as we know it.”
“Vance has long been outspoken when it comes to defending Donald Trump following the bullshit rigged conviction in Fat Alvin’s case against the leading candidate for president,” they wrote.

Gov. Burgum was also guarded when Newsmax asked him about the issue.
“There’s a lot of buzz around that.”
“I just say President Trump is so strong right now, he could get elected without a vice president,” Burgum answered.
