Some news from the swamp. Looks like Nikki Haley got some sort of a wake-up call as she told during a speech at the Hudson Institute that she intends to vote for President Donald Trump in November.
Haley, who surrendered from Trump after her miserable performance in the primaries, said: “I put my priorities on a president who’s gonna have the backs of our allies and hold our enemies to account.”
“Who would secure the border, no more excuses. A president who would support capitalism and freedom. A president who understands we need less debt, not more debt. Trump has not been perfect on these policies, I’ve made that clear. Many, many times, but Biden has been a catastrophe. So, I will be voting for Trump.”
RINO Haley maintained that she stood by her remarks during her “suspension speech.”
“Trump would be smart to reach out to the millions of people who voted for me and continue to support me,” Haley continued. “And, not assume that they are just gonna be with him and I genuinely hope he does that.”
Before this, Haley described that voting for Trump “is like suicide,” citing his legal battles brought by Biden.
Meanwhile, Haley’s remarks draw mixed reactions from the GOP.
Rep. Ralph Norman (R-South Carolina), one of the few lawmakers to endorse Haley, commended the former South Carolina governor’s decision to support President Trump.
Norman quipped, “Great news. I’m excited about what she’s doing.”
The lawmaker had been pushing for Haley as Trump’s vice-president pick because she continues to gain a “considerable” portion of votes in the ongoing GOP primaries.
However, the former president downplayed this early this month, “She got very few voters.”
“And those voters are all coming to me, and you may have a lot of Democrats in there because they have a very tricky little system. But those voters are coming to me.”
He also made it clear in his Truth Social post that he does not consider Haley as his running mate.
“Nikki Haley is not under consideration for the V.P. slot, but I wish her well!” Trump wrote.
Norman argued, “You can hate Nikki Haley, but you can’t hate her voters.”
However, not all is well for Haley as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene slams her pandering.
“Desperate neocon Nikki Haley finally endorsed Pres. Trump today.”
“She is doing everything she can to weasel her way into Trump’s next administration even now by threatening that her voters won’t vote for Trump.”
Greene highlighted, “Not voting for Trump is voting for Biden.”
Trump’s campaign has not released any comment regarding this as of this time.
