There are some updates on the war between Russia and Ukraine. Russia claims it has taken complete control of Luhansk on Sunday. The reports from Kyiv even confirm that they withdrew their troops from the city of Lysychansk.
Lysychansk was the final Ukrainian stronghold, so it could be said that this was a significant moment for Russia.
“Ukraine’s position was never that they could defend all of this. What they’ve been trying to do is to slow down the Russian assault and cause maximum damage, while they build up for a counteroffensive,” said Neil Melvin of the London-based think tank RUSI.
Russia claims it is only liberating, while Ukrainian officials say that “liberating” Ukrainian territory is Russian propaganda. It was on February 24th, 2022, when Russia invaded Ukraine. Thousands of civilians have died in Ukraine. Russia has been accused of deliberately targeting cities. It is leveling them to the ground while civilians remain defenseless. Russia, of course, denies this. Meanwhile, Russia says it is only trying to protect Russian speakers and nationalists. Ukraine, of course, claims this is propaganda.
Are you catching on to a trend?
What most don’t seem to comprehend is that this is war. It isn’t fun. It isn’t ideal. It’s war, people will die, and cities will fall. That is what western Allies don’t want to admit. They don’t want to admit that they don’t know how wars are won.
The concept of war has been polluted with the ideology that diplomacy works. It does when you have strong leaders. War is about going in to win, taking all the loser’s stuff, and reaping the spoils. That is what Russia is doing, whether we like it or not.
We don’t have strong leaders. Unfortunately, Ukraine never had a dog in this fight because of its so-called Western Allies. The only time it ever had a chance was because of President Trump. Remember how he called NATO members out for not paying their 2%? That’s why they hated him. He came to collect and with interest. For a Russian puppet, you would think Russia would have been given the red carpet treatment in Ukraine under Donald Trump.
Let’s not forget President Obama’s hot mic moment back in 2012. He whispered to President Dmitry Medvedev, “After my election, I have more flexibility.”
Medvedev replied that he would “transmit this information to Vladimir.” In 2014, Russia invaded Crimea. PolitiFact’s Amy Sherman stated in her article that the Obama administration offered lethal aid for its support of Ukraine. She fails to mention what Joe Biden has proudly boasted about leveraging over 1 billion dollars of aid to Ukraine to oust a prosecutor. That said prosecutor was looking into cases of corruption. One case involved Biden’s golden child, Hunter Biden.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz expressed that Germany was discussing with its allies about the security guarantees for Ukraine after the war is over. It could be implied that the allies have already given up on Ukraine because keep in mind, these securities won’t be the same as for a member of NATO.
Germany and other Nato members are adding salt to the wounds of Ukraine. A country that should have been considered long before Crimea was invaded. Instead, NATO accepts a country like Sweden, which is famous for its neutrality. In other words, neutrality is political correctness for cowardliness.
