Wisconsin is routinely referred to as a battleground state during Presidential elections. Biden won the 10 Electoral votes in 2020 by just over twenty-thousand votes. The Governor’s chair, being voted on in November, will be a closely watched gubernatorial race over the next several months.

Governor Tony Evers, a first-term state leader, is concerned he may lose on November 8th. That is why he is making outrageous claims to his supporters like the ones he did this past week.

“We will see elections change to the point where the Legislature makes the final decision and that should scare the living crap out of everybody in this room,” Evers warned his voters. He is trying to stir up the Democratic base in Wisconsin to push him across the finish line.

The Democratic Party recently suffered a setback in their preferred election methods when the Wisconsin’s highest court ruled that mail-in ballot drop boxes can only be placed within election offices and not around the city. In addition, only the person whose name is on the ballot can drop it off.

Mail-in voting has been one of the points of contention in the 2020 Presidential election. Republicans claim the process was rife with fraudulent activity and illegal voting. Democrats vehemently deny there was any voter fraud. However, it is clear that there were problems with the mail-in ballot process nationwide.

As we approach the mid-term elections, there are already issues regarding mail-in ballots in locations throughout the country. Pinal County in Arizona has reported that 63,000 mail-in ballots were mailed to voters with numerous errors. The misktakes include leaving candidates off the ballot.

Its not just the mail-in voting process Governor Evers is concerned with. An audit of the 2020 election in Wisconsin was released this past October. According to Benjamin Yount of The Center Square, “The audit found issues from either Wisconsin election managers or local election managers in every area.”

Democrats claim the audit didn’t find issues with the election totals meaning any other issues discovered throughout the investigation don’t impact the election. Auditors questioned every election clerk in the state but only examined just over 14,000 ballots in just 30 cities.

There are 72 counties with over 1800 cities and towns in the Badger state. Yet, auditors only examined ballots from 30 cities. Many county clerks, including Madison, Milwaukee, and Little Suamico, wouldn’t allow auditors to examine the ballots in any way violating state law.

Ever’s predicted Republican opponent is Tim Michels who owns Michels Corporation. The leading Republican candidate has made it clear if he wins the election, he will take a look at decertifying the 2020 Presidential election.

Michels is expected to be the nominee even though Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch has recently narrowed the gap in polling. There are two other Republican candidates but, as of now, they are trailing by quite a few points in the polls and aren’t expected to win.

According to surveys, election reform is at the top of voter concerns in Wisconsin. Evers maintains an early lead in the polls no matter who the Republican candidate is, but that gap is expected to close dramatically and as more voter issues arise around the country, a red wave is predicted.
