Former White House strategist Steve Bannon is making a huge prediction ahead of November’s midterm elections after the FBI raided President Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago estate.
Bannon believes that Trump will come roaring back and solidly his place as the leader of the Republican Party.
“Going forward, we can transform the Republican Party into more of a MAGA movement … just immerse the MAGA movement with the Republican Party, and we’re going to have massive victories in the future,” Bannon said.
Bannon went on to describe why the FBI raid on Donald Trump’s home will play into Trump’s comeback.
“We’re at a political and ideological war. They’ve weaponized the Justice Department – this had to be approved, going up to the White House to be approved. Absolutely. Anybody saying it didn’t is a liar. This had to go up through the chain of command, through Merrick Garland to Ron Klain, at least [FBI Director Christopher] Wray and these guys. This is about pure power politics. They’re scared to death about Trump. They’re absolutely petrified terrified that he’ll announce in a couple of weeks, win the Republican nomination and win the White House,” Bannon added.
“We need a full investigation, cutting off appropriations to the FBI to get to the bottom of this, okay? This is going to continue on. The FBI right now is the Gestapo. The FBI is the Gestapo, whether it’s out in Colorado, putting a gold star mother in chains, Peter Navarro in chains. It’s absolutely obscene. This is insanity. We need to fight fire with fire and the way to do that is to win elections, win them overwhelmingly and then use the appropriations process to choke down the FBI and choke down the Justice Department and get to the bottom of who approved this. This is so outrageous it needs to be investigated,” he said.
Bannon ended by saying that he believes Trump will come back.
“Trump is a disruptor, but he has a long-term vision because I absolutely believe in the marrow of my bones that he will be our nominee in 2024,” Bannon later added. “He’ll come back to us. We’ll have a sweeping victory in 2022, and he’ll lead us in 2024.”
On Monday morning, Judge Bruce Reinhart rejected an argument from the DOJ and admitted that the FBI’s raid on Mar-A-Lago was “unprecedented.”
He rejected the Justice Department’s argument to keep the affidavit “sealed”, citing the “intense public and historical interest.”
Reinhart wrote, “The Government argues that even requiring it to redact portions of the Affidavit that could not reveal agent identities or investigative sources and methods imposes an undue burden on its resources and sets a precedent that could be disruptive and burdensome in future cases.”
“I do not need to reach the question of whether, in some other case, these concerns could justify denying public access; they very well might.”
President Trump has hinted he will take legal action after the raid on his home.
