On Wednesday, the former host from CNN, Chris Cuomo, confessed in a podcast that he had violent and deadly thoughts like “killing everyone,” after he was dismissed from his job because of a chain of scandals.
According to a February 2022 report by The New York Times, CNN fired Chris Cuomo in December 2021 after the executives came to know about the alleged sexual attack involving Cuomo, that occurred during office “lunch.”
The New York Times also revealed that after a temporary female staffer from ABC News declined Cuomo’s proposition for sex, he allegedly attacked her.
The unnamed victim came forward with the allegations after Cuomo was suspended by CNN in November 2021 for not being honest and open with top executives about advising his brother, Andrew Cuomo, who was also the then-New York Governor, on evading his sexual harassment allegations.
According to attorney Debra Katz, the victim “Jane Doe” felt disgusted because of the similarities between the situation she went through and Governor Andrew Cuomo’s accusers.
During a podcast with Anthony Saramucci on Wednesday, Chris Cuomo revealed that the dismissal from his job haunted him so badly that he considered violence.
Cuomo stated:
“I still fail, and I have learned to accept it. I had to accept because I was gonna kill everybody, including myself. Things can consume you. Italians are so passionate.”
Regarding Cuomo’s dismissal from CNN in December 2021, the New York Post reported:
“Cuomo had invited the “young” worker to his office for lunch on the pretext of giving her advice on obtaining full-time employment at the network in 2011.
When the woman arrived, there was no food, and the anchor badgered her for sex, the letter sent to CNN lawyers on Dec. 1 reportedly said.
When she declined his advance, he reportedly attacked her, the letter alleged.”
