Cardi B Distances Herself From Biden, Won’t Endorse Him in 2024

In 2020, Cardi B voted for Joe Biden. However, the experience only gave her “layers and layers of disappointment.”

The rapper told Rolling Stone in an interview published on Thursday, “I feel like people got betrayed.”

The musician lamented the skyrocketing living costs and “domestic and foreign mismanagement.”

“It’s just like, damn, y’all not caring anybody.”

What compounds her frustration is that there are actual solutions to these issues.

She said, “Then, it really gets me upset that there are solutions to it. There is a solution. I know there’s a solution because you’re spending billions of dollars on any f—ing thing.”

Cardi B, whose real name was Belcalis Almanzar, also criticized the ongoing Israel-Hamas war and said she could be “blackballed” for speaking about it.

The rapper-singer thundered, “[America] don’t pay for endless wars for countries that have been going through s–t for a very long time.”

“There are countries [where] kids are getting killed every single day, but because the [U.S.] won’t benefit from that country, they won’t help,” she said.

“I don’t like that America has this superhero cape on. We never did things to be superheroes. We did things for our own convenience.”

Last year, the 31-year-old Grammy award winner declared that she won’t participate in the 2024 election and criticized the Biden administration for sending military aid to “fund two wars,” while New York continued to suffer budget slashes.

“I’m not endorsing no f‑‑-ing presidents no more, because how is there a $100 million budget cut in New York City for f‑–ing schools, library, police safety, and sanitation?” she said last November.

During her live streams, Cardi B also cussed at Biden and said, “When it comes to Biden, I can’t support you because you’re funding a war.”

“This is not a war that is soldiers fighting soldiers… There’s children and parents getting killed. I am a parent, I would hate to be a child and to see my father or mother get killed due to a bomb. I can’t support that, I just can’t.”

Cardi B, just like all Americans, was outraged by the inflation. In January 2023, she quipped: ‘What the f— is going on?” she asked. “Lettuce was like $2 a couple [of] months ago and now it’s like f—ing $7, of course, I’m [going to] say something. The f—?”

Aside from Cardi B, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson earlier said he wouldn’t endorse Biden this year after his 2020 support caused “division.”

Even “Thrift Shop” rapper Macklemore had some scathing words for the incumbent President. He said, “The blood is on your hands, Biden, we can see it all/And f— no, I’m not voting for you in the fall.”
