CBP: 500% Increase in Undocumented Chinese Immigrants Recorded, Sparks Concern

In recently published figures from Customs and Border Protection, data reflects that there was an influx of undocumented Chinese migrants who crossed the southern border around this time last year.

Since October last year, CBP noted that 20,000 Chinese nationals crossed the border illegally, and more than 90 percent entered the San Diego sector through places like Jacumba, California.

Jacumba is a desert area in the eastern region of San Diego. In that small town, a gap at the end of the border wall is reportedly used by smugglers to drop off migrants.

“Inexplicably, the Biden admin has made no effort to fill or fix this small gap.” Melugin wrote on X.

Border Patrol agents noted that according to records, there was a 500% increase in Chinese migrants since last year, which made them the fastest-growing demographic to enter the US illegally.

In a report by Bill Melugin, Border Patrol reported more than 260 Chinese illegal aliens attempting to cross the southern border through the San Diego sector. This number was only for Monday this week and just one sector.

Melugin further raised the alarm and added that at least 20,000 Chinese migrants have been encountered by border agents in all sectors since the beginning of 2024. Comparably, in 2021, CBP recorded only 450 encounters with the same demographics.

These Chinese nationals land in Ecuador by air, then ride a bus, walk through the Darian Gap in Panama, and ride buses again for a temporary stay at Department of Homeland Security Camps in Panama.

Some of them say that they were fleeing persecution from the Chinese Communist Party, while some were escaping the collapsing economy, but some are very different. A former Special Forces Operator, Michael Yon, shared that China has been sending special operators to enter the country.

According to Yon, these were younger males with good teeth, flat stomachs, military haircuts, and usually avoided eye contact.

What do these special operators do? Primarily facilitates the distribution of Fentanyl and up-gunned cannabis. Once inside the US, most acquired gun ranges and tactical training and duplicated them back in China.

Brandon Judd, the president of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC), which represents all rank-and-file Border Patrol agents nationwide, told Fox News that the majority of the Chinese border crossers are single adult males of military age.

“That is a very scary prospect, we know that China does not like us, we know that we are in the crosshairs of China,” Judd said.

“And they are exporting so many people to our country, and you have to really fear about that.”

When the Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was asked, if he felt any accountability with the border crisis, Mayorkas replied: “We don’t bear responsibility for a broken system.”
