Charlamagne Tha God, a renowned radio and TV host who was a guest host on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” expressed his views on President Joe Biden, as the current president shared the possibility of him not joining the presidential race “if former President Donald Trump weren’t running.”
Charlamagne candidly said that Biden should consider stepping aside. “This is Biden’s ego talking.”
“If you think there are other people that can beat him, step aside, all right? I know he thinks he’s got this in the bag, but the polls say otherwise.”
According to a Real Politics poll, Trump is ahead of Biden by 2.2 points.

“I want Biden stepping in to beat Trump the way I want him stepping in to defend me in a bar fight.”
“I appreciate you caring, but I don’t like our chances,” The Breakfast Club host shared.
Charlamagne, whose real name is Lenard McKelvey, notes Biden’s age and poor polling as factors why the president isn’t the best person to represent Democrats in the 2024 presidential elections.
“See, the facts are, Biden is not getting any younger.”
McKelvey also added “He’s not going to get any more popular, and he’s not getting a new running mate. So please, Mr. President, give America the ultimate Christmas gift and step aside.”
The host had earlier said that it was “sad” that Biden was still the Democrats’ best option for president. He also said that Biden should consider serving only one term.
Charlamagne also compared the president to the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who he remarked should have retired so another liberal judge could replace her.
“The point is, we don’t need Biden to beat Donald Trump just like we didn’t need [late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg] to stay on the court.
The judge was then replaced by Amy Coney Barrett, a conservative appointed by former President Trump and was later confirmed by the Senate in 2020 when Ginsburg died at the age of 87.
The comedian was not the only one who expressed dissatisfaction with Biden.
Known leftist comedian Michael Rappaport declared that he might vote for Trump as Biden fails to control antisemitism amid the Israel-Hamas conflict.
“I’ve had conversations with some of my – if it comes down to pig d— Donald Trump and Smokin’ Joe Biden, I’m sorry. I am sorry. Voting for pig d— Donald Trump is on the table. I’m sorry!”
