China’s Biolab in Reedley Hints There Could Be More

In December 2022, Code Officer Jesalyn Harper discovered an illegal bio lab operating in Reedley, California, after receiving a tip about cars parked outside a building that was supposedly abandoned.

She also noticed a green hose sticking out of a hole in the side of the warehouse.

When she knocked, “three women answered the door,” said Harper.

“They appeared to be of Asian descent, possibly Chinese. They were all wearing basic PPE, white lab coats, gloves, and surgical masks.”

As she probed inside, thousands of vials of biological substances – including “HIV” and “Ebola” pathogens emerged.

She also discovered various laboratory equipment, manufacturing devices, freezers, lab mice, and vials labeled in Mandarin, and English, and in a code that remains undeciphered.

Reedley authorities were stonewalled by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) when they reported this issue.

This incident prompted Rep. Jim Costa (D-Calif) to kick off an investigation inside the illegal laboratory.

“Local officials spent months repeatedly trying to obtain assistance from the CDC,” the report states, noting that “the CDC refused to speak with them and, on several occasions, it was reported by local officials that the CDC hung up on them mid-conversation.”

The investigation lasted for nine months. The CDC finally showed up upon the prodding of the Congress.

At least 20 potentially infectious agents, including “serious or lethal human diseases,” were identified. They also discovered 1,000 bioengineered mice used to “catch and carry the Covid-19 virus.”

Unfortunately, the CDC turned down requests from city officials to examine unlabeled vials.

Scripps News obtained court records that linked the illegal laboratory to Jiabei “Jesse” Zhu, a former Chinese corporate officer in Chinese military-civil fusion organizations and a member of the Communist Party. The laboratory was registered as Universal Meditech.

Eventually, Prestige Biotech, one of its creditors, took over Meditech. As reported by NBC News, “Officials were unable to get any California-based address for either company except for the previous Fresno location from which UMI had been evicted.”

Prestige is a Chinese medical company that is registered in Nevada.

Hidden in plain sight, Universal Meditech applied to occupy a warehouse and office space at 3900 N. Blattella Lane in Fresno, California in March. The company has also previously operated in Fresno, where reports exposed that “hazardous chemicals were evident throughout the bio lab.”

“Why Fresno?” asked the Washington Examiner, because it is right next to Fresno Yosemite International Airport, which also serves as home to the Fresno Air National Guard.

Reedley authorities warned that there is a high likelihood that there might be other Chinese-owned labs clandestinely operating inside America,

“And it’s just no one has found them yet,” said Harper.
