Special Counsel John Durham is finally showing some results from his more than a two-year-long investigation into the origins of the Russia Hoax. On Thursday, a grand jury returned the second indictment of Michael Sussmann.
Sussmann, a Washington attorney and former federal prosecutor was finally indicted for making false statements to the FBI during a September 2016 testimony.
Special Counsel Durham alleged that Sussmann misrepresented his own capacity when making accusations to the FBI during the agency’s (Obama admin funded) investigation to “Find Russian Collusion” with the Trump campaign.
Durham alleges that Sussmann provided three “white papers” to the FBI which contained the supposed evidence showing there is a backdoor communication between The Trump Organization and a Russian Bank.
“Sussmann stated falsely that he was not doing his work on the aforementioned allegations ‘for any client,’ which led the FBI General Counsel to understand that Sussmann was acting as a good citizen merely passing along information, not as a paid advocate or political operative,” read the indictment. “This statement was intentionally false and misleading because, in assembling and conveying these allegations, Sussmann acted on behalf of specific clients.” Some of those clients being the Hillary Clinton Campaign and some Big-Tech executives.
If convicted, Sussmann could face upto five years worth of jail time! But that is to be seen as people have lost faith in the corrupt justice system.
In January, a former Federal Attorney, Kevin Clinesmith pled guilty to manipulating documents to get spy warrants on Trump adviser Carter Page. Clinesmith was sentenced to just year-long probation and 400 hours of community service and faced no jail time!
While other accusations that were made against members of the Trump campaign like Roger Stone, General Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort faced biased left-leaning justices and corrupt juries during their trial.
