The hits just seem to keep coming for Liz Cheney. The Raging Patriot reported just yesterday that Cheney’s position as co-chair of the heavily Democrat-stacked January 6th committee has more than alienated her from her Wyoming constituency. Of particular note is when a reported with CNN asked a Wyoming resident, Sharon Tuggle, if she was planning to vote for Cheney. Her answer was a resounding and stout “Hell no”. This laid the groundwork for a final ousting by the voters in the recent Republican primary that took place Tuesday night.

It is now being reported that:

Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon slammed Liz Cheney after her massive loss in Wyoming last night to Trump-backed candidate Harriet Hageman saying that she experienced a “democracy suppository.”

“Liz Cheney and the Cheney apparatus in Wyoming got a democracy suppository last night, it was a bigger win than we ever envisioned. I think Harriet Hageman will end up with close to 70 percent of the vote, or the anti-Cheney will be over 70 percent of the vote,” said Bannon.

“Remember, a big hunk of her votes are from Democrats. It’s a crushing defeat of the controlled opposition and it’s all they pine for, is the controlled opposition. Oh we want lower taxes and smaller government.

“That’s all bromides,” said Bannon. “They’re not prepared to take any action to actually make that happen. To cut spending, to stop the forever-wars of which Liz Cheney made all of her money… An absolutely massive win for Hageman last night.”

Former President Donald Trump won the state in 2020 with nearly 70 percent of the vote. Heading into the primary, Cheney trailed Hageman by nearly 30 points in a University of Wyoming poll published Thursday.

Cheney attempted to court Democrat voters based on her anti-Trump record. The strategy didn’t pan out, however, and some Democrats, including former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, celebrated Cheney’s defeat.

In Cheney’s concession speech, she likened herself to Abraham Lincoln, who also lost elections in the Senate and House before winning the presidency.

“Abraham Lincoln was defeated in elections for the Senate and the House before he won the most important election of all,” Cheney said.

“Lincoln ultimately prevailed,” Cheney said. “He saved our union and he defined our obligation as Americans for all of history. Speaking at Gettysburg of the great task remaining before us, Lincoln said, ‘That we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain. That this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom and a government of the people, by the people and for the people shall not perish from this Earth.'”

So, even though it seems that Liz Cheney’s political career is all but over, it doesn’t seem that the insults and vitriol will be stopping anytime soon.

It is quite the intellectual whiplash to realize that Tulsi Gabbard and Steve Bannon agree on something.

Even more so to see liberals and democrats bemoaning the downfall of a Cheney. One might not be able to identify with complete precision what this realization tells us from a political standpoint, but it is nonetheless interesting and indicative of the turns made on the highway of political discourse.

Bannon, by the way, was just very recently convicted on two charges of contempt of congress for ignoring a subpoena that was delivered to him.

So, it seems to be bad luck all around for everyone.
