Donald Trump Sweeps Super Tuesday, Leaving Haley in the Dumps

Former President Donald Trump dominates Super Tuesday, as he outperformed former South Carolina Nikki Haley with 15 states voting in favor of him.

His victory signals the high likelihood of a rematch with the 81-year-old Democratic Party presumptive nominee, President Joe Biden.

The 15 states were Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia. Meanwhile, Haley squeezed in one victory in Vermont, where anyone can vote, including independents and Democrats, as the state held an open primary.

California, one of the biggest voting states, immediately called for Trump a minute after the polls closed. The former president led by 57.2% against Haley, according to FiveThirtyEight. For Texas, Trump received 76.7 percent, while Haley received 18.3 percent.

“They call it Super Tuesday for a reason. This is a big one,” exclaimed Trump during a victory speech.

“And they tell me — the pundits and otherwise — that there’s never been one like this, there’s never been anything so conclusive.”

“This was an amazing, an amazing night, an amazing day. It’s been an incredible period and our country’s history. It’s been sad in so many ways, but I think it’s going to be inspiring because we’re going to do something that, frankly, nobody’s been able to do for a long time,” Trump remarked.

Days ahead of his massive Super Tuesday win, Trump also emerged with victories in the North Dakota caucus, the Michigan primary, the Michigan caucus, and the Missouri caucus.

Several other states will hold their nominating events on March 12 and 19, respectively — Georgia, Hawaii, Mississippi, Washington, Florida, Illinois, Kansas and Ohio.

During a speech in Mar-A-Lago, Trump took his time blasting Biden, dubbing him as the worst president in the history of our country.

“There’s never been anything like what’s happening to our country.”

The former president revealed the Biden administration allowed the import of more than 320,000 migrants to US airports.

“Today it was announced that 325,000 people were flown in from parts unknown. Migrants were flown in airplanes, not going through borders, not going through that great Texas barrier that I was with the governor of Texas, Greg Abbot, the other day, and we were looking at the job they’re doing. But in the meantime, they’re pouring into California and they’re pouring into Arizona because those governors aren’t doing anything. They’re doing nothing.”

“It was unbelievable. I said that must be a mistake. They flew 325,000 migrants, flew them in over the borders, into our country. So that really tells you where they’re coming from.”

“They want open borders, and open borders are going to destroy our country. We need borders, and we need free and fair elections.”

On the other hand, President Joe Biden also dominated the Democratic nominating contests but was defeated by a lesser-known candidate, Jason Palmer, in American Samoa.
