Elon Musk lashed out at Green Day for Anti-MAGA remarks

Tesla CEO and X owner Elon Musk unleashed fiery remarks against the so-called punk rock band Green Day as it trashed the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement during their New Year’s Eve performance on ABC last Sunday.

The band altered the lyrics of their song American Idiot, criticizing former President Donald Trump. Billie Joe Armstrong, the vocalist of Green Day, tweaked the original lyrics “Well, maybe I’m the f****t, America / I’m not a part of a redneck agenda / Now everybody, do the propaganda / And sing along to the age of paranoia” into “Well, maybe I’m the faggot, America / I’m not a part of a MAGA agenda / Now everybody, do the propaganda / And sing along to the age of paranoia.”

However, many GOPers are done with giving these boys a free pass, including Musk.

Musk went to X and posted, “Green Day goes from raging against the machine to milquetoastedly raging for it.”

For Musk, it is ironic how the group shifted from being against authoritarianism to becoming pro-establishment.

The richest man in the world has been vocal about advocating for freedom of speech and has gained a reputation for challenging ‘wokeness,’ occasionally finding himself embroiled in various issues as a result. Recently, he has been outspoken about his views against the Biden administration.

While Musk has been outspoken about his views on Trump, he has never explicitly aligned himself with either the Republican or Democratic Party. However, his recent inclinations seem to lean more towards conservative perspectives.

More MAGA Supporters Burn Green Day

One user in Truth Social said, “Green Day is now Green Done. Don’t they understand it’s no longer Hollywood Cool with the rest of us to take potshots at DJT? We the people are speaking!”

Laura Loomer, a journalist and far-right supporter, captioned a clip of the performance with the word “losers.”

Some even said, “Green Day is a woke joke.”,

@Americanmama44 called the group “Punk Rock Sellouts.”

She added, “I’m glad they love the government because I don’t. This is what we call attention-seeking sellouts. Trying to spread propaganda, your crowd was mostly Gen X dumbasses.”

“So Green Day supports corporate oligarchs, globalist scum, puppet dictators, the death of the American Dream, and the erosion of personal freedom and liberty. That’s so rock n’ roll,” tweets another X user.

Jack Poso, senior editor for Human Events and a former correspondent for One America News Network, said, “Green Day ain’t said one word all through the Obama years and not one word about Biden.”

“Bought and sold, more like green-paid.”

What does the MAGA movement mean?

For most MAGA supporters, the Make America Great Again Movement means stronger borders, a lower crime rate, and a better economy.

MAGA was Trump’s campaign slogan and movement that began during his presidential run in 2016.

In a recent poll conducted by NBC News, there are about 52 percent of Republicans who align themselves with the MAGA movement; with the Monmouth University survey, it’s 66 percent.
