Joe Biden said the quiet part out loud, on live TV.
He read the words “repeat the line” out loud, instead of repeating the line they wanted him to emphasize.
His full quote was, “End of quote. Repeat the line. Women are not without electoral…or political power.”
Elon Musk tweeted out, “Whoever controls the teleprompter is the real President!”
Others also joined in.
Emilie Simons, White House Assitant Press Secretary, tried to say that Biden said “let me repeat that line.”
This is not the first time that the President has made concerning mistakes.
Many people are calling for Biden to take a cognitive test, to show he is fit to be the President of the United States.
The New York Post reported:
Gait disorders, particularly stiffer, shortened, more asymmetric strides, such as we see with Biden, often are linked to dementia, which is why Dr. Marc Siegel, a clinical professor of medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center, told Fox News he is concerned O’Connor’s report left out crucial information.
“I don’t like that they ascribe his gait issues to a broken foot … This is not a fully characterized neurological assessment of somebody with a gait problem, and I want to know why.”
Siegel says other tests needed to be done “to rule out things that … can be associated with cognitive changes like mental status, like dementia.”
White House physician Ronny Jackson, said in 2018 that Trump’s cognitive state was “very sharp” and “very intact”. He called for Biden to take the same cognitive test.
“The American people deserve to have absolute confidence in their President.” said Jackson.
“… I would argue that the American people don’t have that confidence in President Biden.”
The cognitive test Trump took is called the Montreal Cognitive Assessment and it is meant to detect early stages of impairments like dementia.
Ziad Nasreddine, the neurologist who created the test, told The Post that the exam does not measure someone’s IQ or intellectual abilities.
“If someone performs well, what it means is they can be ruled out for cognitive impairment that comes with diseases like Alzheimer’s, stroke or multiple sclerosis. That’s it,” Nasreddine said.
“I’ve watched Joe Biden on the campaign trail, and I’m concerned and I’m convinced that he does not have the mental capacity, the cognitive ability to serve as our commander in chief,” Jackson said.
The Daily Mail also reported:
Mr. Biden suffered two brain aneurysms in 1988 while trying to secure the Democratic presidential nomination, which went to Michael Dukakis. He had surgery to treat the life-threatening conditions.
Scientists warn those who suffer aneurysms – bulging blood vessels that usually occur in the brain or arteries that burst – may face memory difficulties, such as problems absorbing, storing, and recalling information.
Mr. Biden is known for his blunders and even referred to himself as a ‘gaffe machine’ in 2018.
Just last month he forgot his reasons for running for president, and when he was newly elected he referred to his deputy as ‘President Kamala Harris’.
The President also suffers from atrial fibrillation – a condition that causes an irregular or fast heartbeat.
Doctors first diagnosed Mr. Biden’s condition in 2003 when he had his gallbladder removed.
Medics have warned the condition can cause tiny blood clots that slowly injure parts of the brain over time, which can cause thinking and memory problems.
