Facebook Apologizes for Censoring Image of Bloodied Trump After Assassination Attempt

It’s funny how a tech giant could have ‘suddenly’ made the ‘mistake’ of censoring an image so iconic and had to wait for them to be called out before taking any action, and this mysteriously comes amid Google’s efforts to scrub any news or update Donald Trump and whitewash Kamala Harris stinking track record.

Meta’s spokesperson, Dani Lever, claimed on Monday that they had made “a mistake” for flagging bloodied Donald Trump’s photo while defiantly fist-pumping seconds after a shooter fired at him while speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Lever alleged that it was merely “an error” in response to conservative influencer and Turning Point Action leader Charlie Kirk, who hit Facebook for censoring  Trump’s iconic photo and alleged that this was ‘blocked’ for ‘misinformation.’

The spokesperson furthered, “This fact check was initially applied to a doctored photo showing the Secret Service agents smiling, and in some cases, our systems incorrectly applied that fact check to the real photo. This has been fixed and we apologize for the mistake.”

The issue was first brought to light after an X user, @EndWokeness, banned him from posting the photo and could face account suspension.

However, Facebook’s lame excuse did not bode well with X users, who quipped: “Funny that the ‘errors’ only ever go in one direction. Just coincidence, I guess.”

Another X user, @MZHemingway, said: “We fixed one example out of 10 million of how we ruthlessly censor all conservative speech and falsely label it as misinformation. Please clap.”

But this incident wasn’t isolated. Before this, conservatives also hit Facebook after Meta AI, its AI chatbot, tagged Trump’s assassination as ‘fictional” when prompted to give details about the shooting incident.

Various social media users tagged Facebook and Meta and posted screenshots of how the Meta AI responded to these prompts.

A spokesperson for Meta defended their chatbot and said, “We know people have been seeing incomplete, inconsistent, or out-of-date information on this topic. We’re in the process of implementing a fix to provide more up-to-date responses for inquiries.”

Google is also in hot water after their site’s autocomplete function did not generate any result related to Trump’s assassination attempt. Some wondered if this was a blatant ‘election interference’ to put more attention to the Democratic Party’s unhinged nominee, Kamala Harris.

Donald Trump Jr said said it was “intentional election interference.”

“Big Tech is trying to interfere in the election AGAIN to help Kamala Harris. We all know this is intentional election interference from Google. Truly despicable,” he wrote in X.
