In a resounding victory for child protection efforts, FBI Director Kash Patel announced the results of Operation Restore Justice, a five-day nationwide enforcement action that led to the arrest of 205 alleged child sex abuse offenders and the rescue of 115 vulnerable children.
The operation, conducted from April 28 to May 2, 2025, involved coordinated efforts across all 55 FBI field offices and marked one of the most aggressive crackdowns on child exploitation in recent history.
Speaking at a press conference alongside Attorney General Pamela Bondi, Director Patel delivered a stark warning to potential offenders: “If you harm our children, you will be given no sanctuary. There is no place we will not come to hunt you down, there is no place we will not look for you, and there is no cage we will not put you in.”
The announcement, made on May 7, 2025, highlighted the Trump administration’s renewed focus on combating child sex trafficking and exploitation, with Bondi emphasizing that convicted predators would face the maximum penalties under the law.
The operation targeted a wide range of offenses, including the production and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), child sex trafficking, and the transportation of minors across state lines for sexual purposes.

Among the most notable arrests were leaders of the 764 network, a notorious Satanic terror group known for coercing minors into violent and sexual acts through online platforms.
Officials noted that the arrests included individuals from various walks of life, such as a Minnesota state trooper and a Washington, D.C., police officer, underscoring the pervasive nature of these crimes.
“This historic, unprecedented national operation led to the arrest of 205 child sex predators in just five days,” Patel stated, praising the dedication of FBI agents, support teams, and law enforcement partners who worked tirelessly to protect children and save lives.
The rescues involved children who were at immediate risk of further harm, with many operations focusing on online predators exploiting minors through digital means.
The Department of Justice described the effort as a coordinated surge to identify, track, and apprehend those preying on children, building on broader initiatives under the current administration.
In the months following the operation, Patel reported even greater impacts, including the identification of more than 4,000 child victims and over 1,600 arrests for violent crimes against children nationwide as of August 2025.
These figures represent a significant uptick—over 33% more child victim rescues compared to previous years—demonstrating the FBI’s intensified approach under Patel’s leadership.
Public reaction has been overwhelmingly positive, with social media users and advocacy groups lauding the operation as a critical step in safeguarding America’s youth.
Posts on X highlighted the rescues and arrests, with many echoing Patel’s message that child predators have “nowhere to hide.”
Child advocacy organizations, including groups focused on missing and exploited children, have called for continued funding and resources to sustain these efforts.
While specific details on individual arrests and locations remain limited to protect ongoing investigations, officials confirmed that the operation’s success has set a precedent for future actions.
“These depraved human beings, if convicted, will face the maximum penalty in prison,” Bondi added, reinforcing the administration’s zero-tolerance stance.
As the cases proceed through the courts, Operation Restore Justice stands as a testament to the FBI’s commitment to eradicating child exploitation, sending a clear signal that protecting the nation’s children remains a top priority.
With ongoing operations of this scale, experts anticipate further arrests and rescues in the fight against these heinous crimes.
