What’s new with Joe Biden’s 2024 presidential campaign ad? None.
The first few seconds of his campaign video entitled “Cause” opened with President Biden narrating that the focal point of his presidency was the so-called “preservation of American democracy.”
The clip then went straight ahead to using fear and the words “threat to democracy,” and tagging the MAGA movement as an “extremist” who “does not share the basic beliefs in “our” democracy.”
However, this is the same message the liberals used in 2022, claiming that he is the only salvation to democracy and that former president Donald Trump and his supporters are a “threat to the future of American democracy.”
Biden continues feeding this idea to the Democrats as his campaign aides hinted that for his speech on the third anniversary of the January 6 Capitol demonstration, he intends to “frame the next election as another turning point in the nation’s democracy.”
But this strategy has been deemed ineffective now as the GOP leader has maintained a wide gap against him in various polls since last year. Some experts noted that Biden’s numbers were the worst since Jimmy Carter.
On top of this, the approval ratings of the 81-year-old president continue to dip as prices of commodities remain high, thousands of illegal migrants crash the southern border, homelessness worsens and unemployment persists.
Conor Lamb, a former Democratic congressman from Pennsylvania, noted that this is an “incomplete” re-election strategy and that Americans today are more concerned about the economy.
Additionally, more and more Americans find Biden’s presidency illegitimate. According to a study by the Washington Post and University of Maryland, one out of three Americans now believe that Biden committed electoral fraud.
X users were also quick to attack Biden’s campaign ad which focused solely to smear Trump and the MAGA movement.
Citizen Free Press posted “The J6 fearmongering from Democrats is embarrassing.”
“It’s all they have.”
Another expressed how liberals rely on fear tactics and wonders how long “before it backfires.”
“[Joe Biden] calls millions of Americans “extremists” and touts his voting rights record,” said Charlie Kirk.
Turning Point Action warned that “Biden wants a 2nd term to take weaponized government to the next level.”
Another X user said, “The vilification of half of the country. Literally propaganda to fuel hate and division amongst the citizenry. They’re actively attempting to create violence, so they can justify rounding up conservatives.”
