The former first lady backs Trump-Carlson ticket in the upcoming 2024 presidential race, according to Axios. Melania Trump expressed interest in Carlson and believed the presence of the ex-Fox host could be “powerful onstage extension” with her husband.

Trump already stated that he is considering Carlson for the vice presidency.

“I like Tucker a lot!” he said when asked about the possibility of Tucker Carlson joining his lineup as vice president. In an interview for “The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show,” Trump discussed the likelihood of choosing Carlson, a media personality known for his hard-hitting and witty commentaries, as his running mate for the 2024 presidential election.

Despite Melania’s choice, the GOP leader’s staff are wary that they may not be able to control Carlson.

There were also other politically experienced candidates whom Trump considers, including Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, and Reps. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.)

In an interview last week with Roseanne Barr, Carlson already dismissed the idea. He said, “I put that in the category of – asteroid striking the Earth.”

Although “flattered” with the offer, Carlson also acknowledges his lack of political experience.

He said, ‘I mean, I have spent my whole life looking at politicians and commenting on them and passing judgment on them and I’ve never run for, you know, room mother.”

“And so the idea of that is so far from anything I’ve ever done, it’s kind of hard even to imagine.”

Despite this, Carlson pledged support for Trump. He said, “I’ve always agreed with Trump’s policies. I became an active Trump supporter when they raided Mar-A-Lago last summer.

“By the way, if I thought that he had committed some real crime, I wouldn’t feel that way. But he didn’t,” Carlson added.

Carlson further told Barr, “It’s bigger than Trump, bigger than Biden. It’s do you want to live in a free country with a functioning justice system.”

If the former Fox commentator, turned X host, accepts the offer he would share Trump’s cabinet with fellow Trump loyalists like Steve Bannon, Stephen Miller, Mike Davis, and Kash Patel.

For Carlson, he believes Bannon could be Trump’s chief of staff. Bannon has been Trump’s loyal aide. He supported the president even when he was ousted as chief strategist.

Miller on the other hand can be Trump’s attorney general. He reportedly plans to detain, punish, and expel undocumented migrants if he regains power.
