
The entire T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada roared as thousands of audience cheered when former president Donald Trump entered the venue along with UFC’s Dana White and rockstar, Kid Rock for UFC 296.
Trump greeted his fans and shook their hands, including that of UFC commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan. For the main event, Colby Covington intends to regain Leon Edwards for the welterweight title.
Covington is one of Trump’s biggest supporters in the UFC. During an interview, he said “I’m his biggest fan, he’s my biggest role model. What better way for him to put the belt around me?”

About 3,000 people attended the event designed to invite Republicans to join the upcoming February 8 caucus to select the party’s presidential candidate.
Trump declared, “I will prevent World War 3 – and we’re very close now.”
The crowd cheered for the GOP leader. Some fans were even draped with Trump 2024 banners and the American flag.
Trump then detailed his administration’s policies on immigration, which include “massive portions of federal law enforcement to immigration enforcement” and shifting “thousands of troops stationed overseas to [guard] our southern border.”
“I will shift massive portions of federal law enforcement to immigration enforcement including parts of the DEA, ATF, FBI, and DHS,” he said to cheers on Sunday. “And I will make clear that we must use any and all resources needed to stop the invasion of our country, including moving thousands of troops currently stationed overseas in countries that don’t like us.”
Trump echoed his plan to reinstate travel bans again which he first implemented in 2016.
“Look what’s happened to our country. We wouldn’t have inflation, we wouldn’t have the Israel disaster, we wouldn’t have Ukraine and Russia fighting – none of this” under a Trump presidency.
Trump told the audience on Sunday to “pretend we’re losing.”
“Pretend were tied. Pretend we’re losing by three. You got to do this because you know, the worst thing is everyone thinks, ‘Oh, what do we have to vote for?’, ‘Trump is killing them.’ And then bad things happen.”
According to polls on the GOP primary category, the MAGA leader is leading by 40 percent against rivals Niki Haley, Former Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy.
An internal poll by McLaughlin & Associates also shows that 400 voters favor Trump over DeSantis by 60 percent.
Michael McDonald, the chairman of the Nevada Republican Party, spoke at the event and said, “February 8th. Mark your calendars. That’s the day you show up to caucus for Donald J. Trump.”
“You come out to your location, you walk in with your neighbors, you sit with your neighbors and tell them how great Donald Trump is. And then you cast your ballot for Donald J. Trump.”
