On Monday, the White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, had to face the poll results that showed the Biden administration had lost the interest and faith of the Americans.
During Monday’s press conference, a journalist requested Jean-Pierre to clarify the reasoning for the dispute between the recent polls and the claims of the White House, according to which Biden supported the Democratic Party members to gain unpredictable success during the November midterm elections.
The reporter quoted the recent NBC poll that revealed that just 34% of Americans believe Biden is trustworthy and honest, only 32% of Americans have confidence in Biden’s ability to solve a crisis, and just 31% of Americans think Biden is a competent President.
According to the poll results, Biden’s recent score is not even close to what he achieved back in Jan. 2021.
The reporter questioned:
“Given all that, why are you so convinced that it was President Biden that caused the Democratic success in the midterms and that the Democrats had success in spite of the fact?”
Jean-Pierre replied:
“If you hear the message that was coming out of Democrats during the midterms, it was that we were able to deliver … they used exactly what the president was able to do in order to get that success.”
She added:
“If you think about all of the pieces of historic legislation that became law, that we did last year – again, the president led that.”
A recent poll conducted by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research revealed that Joe Biden, who once had 52% of the voters in his favor during the November midterms, now has only 37% of the voters on his side.
