“I don’t like Trump, I freaking love Trump,” declared Kid Rock in an interview with Newsmax. He also shared the qualities of the former president he admired most.
Rock shared that he and Trump have formed a “comfortable” friendship which they were able to build over the years.
“I’ve just become so comfortable, and him being my friend, and me being his. … You know, a lot of people are nervous and things around him, just like I was, you know, when he was president the first few times. And now I drink my beer and smoke my cigar, and we talk about worldly things. Sometimes, he asks me about policy. Other times, we’re just talking about sports or this, that, and the other. And I see him with his kids, you know?”
He also told Eric Bolling during their interview, “If you can measure a man by one thing, look at his children. Look at all his kids. I’ve come to know them all — some of the grandkids. They’re terrific human beings no matter what your politics are. And if you want to judge … to have that family be as well put together as they are, it starts at the top with that man.”
Earlier, Rock whose real name is Robert Ritchie, praised Trump during an interview with Tucker Carlson on X last December 11.
He called the GOP leader, “Toughest son of a b**** on Earth. He’s doing great, it’s incredible.”
Rock also shared that he had been with the GOP primary frontrunner even during his time in the White House.
“…from there on, we’ve just hit it off. I can relate to him in a lot of ways as someone who might speak out of turn a lot bit and say what’s on my mind.”
Ritchie also explained that those negative sentiments thrown at Trump are influenced by those on the internet.
“I think if you look at his track record and who he is as a whole, there’s a lot more good there than anything. I always say you can go both ways with me. You can go on the internet and make me out to be some crazy wild party animal who just has the middle fingers in the air and doesn’t care or he can be someone who’s a single dad, who loves his family, loves his country, does a lot of philanthropy. It’s all there for the taking.”
The singer declared “To me, he’s the greatest present we’ve had.”
He highlighted how Trump managed to inspire each department when he was in office. “Everybody working. Our military is the strongest. He’s leading with strength and borders under control, just energy independent.”
