Rep. Liz Cheney lost her spot as the sole House representative for Wyoming. She lost to Trump-backed candidate Harriet Hageman.

However, she hinted that a run for president could be in her future.

“I believe that Donald Trump continues to pose a very grave threat and risk to our republic. And I think that defeating him is going to require a broad and united front of Republicans, Democrats and independents, and that’s what I intend to be a part of,” she said.

She then added that she wasn’t going to make any announcements right there.

“That’s a decision that I’m going to make in the coming months, and I’m not going to make any announcements here this morning — but it is something that I am thinking about,” she said of running for president.

Fox News went out and asked Wyoming voters what they thought about Liz Cheney running for president.

“No, please, no, no, no,” one woman said.

“I wouldn’t support her as a dogcatcher,” one man said.

Another man said, “I think there are going to be too many things in her background that people are going to remember.”

He added, “She’s trying to get Democrats to vote for her, and she’s been pushing a lot of Democrats’ stuff. She should just go ahead and change parties.”

“I don’t see her getting a whole lot of support from Republicans.”

One person did voice their support for Cheney and said, “I’d vote for her. We need strong women with powerful decision making, and fair.”

Another supporter of Cheney said that she does like Cheney, but that she’d rather see Trump run for president.

“Even though I support her, I still think Trump did a lot for Wyoming and that we’ve been hurt by our new president.”

Cheney will have a hard time appealing to Republicans after she headed the House select committee on January 6, and she did not support Trump when he said that he lost the election due to massive voter fraud.

She said of her role in the hearings, “I don’t look at it through a political lens.”

“I look at it through the angle of: People need to understand how dangerous he is and how unfit for office he is.”

She told the New York Times, “I believe this is the most important thing I’ve ever done professionally, and maybe the most important thing I ever do.”

Some Republicans are wondering if Cheney will now go work for MSNBC or CNN after her loss.

Matt Gaetz commented on the Jan. 6 committee and said, “I don’t think we can disband the Jan. 6 committee,” Rep. Matt Gaetz stated on his podcast. “I think we have to take over the Jan. 6 committee.”

Now that she is out, there are a lot of questions surrounding the future of the Jan. 6 committee, but no questions as to the future of RINOs.
