Last month, during a raid on Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump’s young son Barron had his room searched by the FBI. In a recent statement, Trump has referred to this search as “deep and ugly.”
Trump made the remarks during a Save America rally in Pennsylvania, calling the FBI raid a “shocking” abuse of power.
Joe Biden was criticized by Trump for authorizing the Mar-a-Lago raid, calling it “one of the most shocking breaches of power by any administration in American history.”
Trump also said that he believes his son Barron was “treated very unfairly” during the raid.
Trump said:
“A few weeks ago you saw when we witnessed one of the most shocking abuses of power by any administration in American history.
“The shameful raid and break-in of my home, Mar-a-Lago, was a travesty of justice that made a mockery of America’s laws, traditions, and principles.
“The Biden administration invaded the home of their chief political opponent, who is absolutely destroying him and everyone else in the polls. I hate to say it ,even including the Republicans, but we love the Republicans.
“The FBI and the Justice Department have become vicious monsters controlled by radical left scoundrels, lawyers, and the media who tell them what to do.
Speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Trump told the crowd that the raid was not only an effort to silence him but an effort to silence his supporters.
“They’re trying to silence me and more importantly, they are trying to silence you, but we will be not be silenced right?” Trump said, prompting chants of “USA!” from the crowd. “We will never stop speaking the truth. We have no choice because we’re not going to have a country left.”
Trump went on to say that the FBI agents who searched his home were “very professional” but that he was “disappointed” in their conduct.

“I can tell you, I was very disappointed when I saw the search taking place of my son’s room,” Trump said. “It was a deep and ugly search.”
Trump made more remarks during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday night.
“They were looking for anything they could get their hands on,” Trump said. “They were looking for anything they could find.”
The FBI raid on Trump’s property was part of an investigation into whether Trump illegally possessed classified national security materials at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
Barron, Trump’s youngest son, was not at the estate at the time of the raid.
“It’s a very sad thing when you have a young son and you have to go through something like that,” Trump said. “It was very, very tough.”
Trump also accused the FBI of treating him “worse than they treat anybody else.”
“What they did was horrible,” Trump said. “You never see this. I’ve been watching it for a long time. You never see this.”
The president also said that the FBI raid was “an attack on our country.”
“This is a witch hunt,” Trump said. “This is a disgrace.”
Trump has previously accused the FBI of raiding his property in an effort to undermine his presidency.
Trump has been anti-FBI for years. “The FBI is totally out of control,” Trump tweeted in May 2018. “They’ve lost their way.”
The FBI has not commented on Trump’s remarks.
