House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy vowed to investigate the Department of Justice if Republicans secure the House majority in the November midterms. This follows the FBI raid on Trump’s house in Mar-A-Lago.
FBI agents raided former President Donald Trump’s estate on Monday evening, seeking classified documents they allege the president may have taken from the White House.
Trump took to Truth Social after his home was raided.
“These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” Trump said of the raid. “Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before.”
McCarthy was very quick to condemn the politicization of the Department of Justice.
“I’ve seen enough,” he wrote on Truth Social.
“The Department of Justice has reached an intolerable state of weaponized politicization. When Republicans take back the House, we will conduct immediate oversight of this department, follow the facts, and leave no stone unturned. Attorney General Garland, preserve your documents and clear your calendar.”
Sources told Just The News that the agents who raided Mar-A-Lago came from the Washington Field Office, which has recently faced an inquiry from Iowa Republican Senator Chuck Grassley. They faced whistleblower complaints that senior personnel showed political bias when opening investigations.
Trump also shared on Truth Social:
“It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections.”
“Such an assault could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries,” he lamented. “Sadly America has now become one of those Countries, corrupt at a level not seen before. They even broke into my safe!”
“What is the difference between this and Watergate, where operatives broke into the Democrat National Committee?” Trump queried. “Here, in reverse, Democrats broke into the home of the 45th President of the United States.”
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis commented on the raid.
“The raid of MAL is another escalation in the weaponization of federal agencies against the Regime’s political opponents, while people like Hunter Biden get treated with kid gloves,” Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis tweeted.
“Now the Regime is getting another 87k IRS agents to wield against its adversaries? Banana Republic.”
Conservative filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza said, “The Biden DOJ has just raided the home of the leading figure of the opposition party, Donald Trump. This should be a red alert to the GOP that it’s not ‘business as usual’ in America and that we are hurtling dangerously into uncharted territory.”
People are still waiting for Hillary Clinton and Hunter Biden to be scrutinized and investigated the way Trump has been.
