A newly released Epstein document revealed the pedophile sex trafficker had traveled across Africa and the Middle East in the 1980s. He also requested multiple passports for these trips to accommodate his application for a travel visa.
ABC News obtained more than 50 pages from Epstein’s files through a public records request to the State Department. These records span from the 1980s to 2019, when he was indicted in New York for child trafficking.
These documents also show Epstein’s excuses for requesting new passports and his plans to visit far-flung countries, including Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, and Senegal. However, these countries did not appear in Epstein’s travel logs, which were submitted to court.
According to ABC News, during the early 1980s, Epstein reported lost or stolen passports. One of which was in April 1983 when he visited London, where he allegedly lost his passport. Years after that, he would again report that he lost his passport in a taxi, and another was stolen while he was in a restaurant.
The US Department of State received in June 2011 an urgent appeal for a second US passport from an American businessman who was planning to visit Europe and countries in Africa.
“I am frequently required on extremely short notice to schedule international trips with itineraries to multiple destinations requiring me to obtain multiple visas at the same time, which is simply not possible on such short notice without a second passport,” the businessman wrote.
“Please issue me a second passport so I may have the 3 visas issued for Africa while I am using my current passport in France,” he added.
This businessman is none other than Jeffrey Edward Epstein. Epstein introduced himself as president of an international financial consulting firm with impending business trips in France, Sierra Leone, Mali, and Gabon.
During this period, Epstein was found guilty of child prostitution in Florida.
By 1993, Epstein seemed to have improved his financial status. His listed address was on East 69th in New York City. Additionally, his records show that he is linked to Ehud Barak, former prime minister of Israel.
The FBI also recovered an Austrian passport bearing his photo but with a different name during a raid in 2019.
In the article, ABC also noted “multiple instances where Epstein applied for a second passport to avoid conflicting visa stamps when he travels to Israel and other Arab states.”
Another instance was when he booked two travel itineraries: first was on March 29, where he would travel from London to Tel Aviv, then by April 7, he would proceed to Istanbul.
While the sex offender was busy jet-setting, police authorities have been scouring evidence outside his Palm Beach mansion, as they have received a report that a 14-year-old girl was molested by a white-haired man named “Jeff.”

However, Jeff would continue to travel overseas. It was only in 2016 that his passport was revoked.
“Epstein’s files indicate that a passport issued to him in 2016, and valid for ten years, was revoked. A second passport valid until 2020 was also revoked. His final application in the State Department files indicates his last US passport was issued in March of 2019,” reported by ABC News.
